Chapter Summaries

Erza and Fairy Tail learned that Fis was a sealed weapon whose location and three linked lives were unknown, then began to suspect Crawford was the traitor who had exposed the secret to Gate of Hades. Crawford revealed that the communication crystal had been blocked just as dozens of attackers burst into the room.

• Crawford told Erza that Fis was a weapon based on a discovered part of a god and that Bio-Link Magic bound it to three people whose deaths would activate it.
• Crawford said he did not know who the three people were or where Fis was, and Erza's communication crystal stopped working.
• Mikael told the guild what he knew about Fis, and Og concluded that Crawford was the likely traitor because Gate of Hades knew the secret and Erza's group had gone silent.
• Mirajane and San Mao realized that a traitor within the Magic Council may have revealed Crawford's location, and they warned Erza.

Crawford drugged Erza, Mirajane, and San Mao and handed them over to Gate of Hades, while Ye Yang used Melt's magic to locate them. Erza woke in captivity and learned the guild planned to use the three Fairy Tail mages as hostages.

Ye Yang confronted Maldo at the Gate of Hades to take the book containing Natsu's life, while Icarus battled Ezel elsewhere. Ye Yang defeated Keith, and Icarus's Moonlit Radiance drove Ezel back as he struggled to block it.

• Ye Yang demanded that Maldo hand over his book, but the Underworld King sent Keith and the Skeleton Soldiers to attack him.
• Minerva appeared in her Demon form, and Ye Yang rebuked her for abandoning Sting and Rogue before Keith attacked.

• Trafalgar’s powerful shockwaves transformed Gajeel into a Steel Shadow Dragon, leaving him immune to the poisonous water and greatly strengthening him.
• Gajeel struck Trafalgar with his Steel God Shadow-Slaying Sword, killing him and collapsing the water world.
• Gajeel found Levy still breathing, picked her up, and headed for the temporary base.
• Minerva watched Ye Yang kill Keith, doubted she could defeat him, and identified the young man holding a book as the Gate of Hades chairman.

Ye Yang stopped Minerva’s unstable attack and reminded her that Sting, Rogue, and their companions still considered her family. Minerva agreed to return to her guild, but Maldo revealed that Fis had been activated and would soon erase all Magic Power on the continent.

• Minerva attacked Ye Yang with spatial spheres, but he easily evaded her and struck her down.
• Ye Yang reminded Minerva that Sting, Rogue, Lector, and the others had pleaded for her and regarded her as a companion.
• Sting and Rogue arrived with Lector and Fro, and Sting offered to take Minerva back to the guild.
• Ye Yang explained that Minerva could return to normal by learning Receive Magic, and Minerva agreed to go back with her friends.
• Maldo interrupted them and warned that Fis had been activated and would soon erase all Magic Power on the continent.

Ye Yang confronted Maldo after learning that Fis pillars threatened the continent, while Sting left to evacuate Minerva and organize an investigation. Maldo transformed and unleashed the Netherworld Tree, but Ye Yang burned it away and drove Maldo backward with Merciless Sun.

• Ye Yang identified the white pillar as Fis and warned Sting to take Minerva away and investigate the other locations.
• Maldo declared that he would eliminate Ye Yang and Fairy Tail, then attacked with vines, flowers, and explosions, but Ye Yang remained unharmed.

• Ye Yang and Fairy Tail joined the other guilds at Fis, where Ichiya and the others reported that three thousand devices would activate in forty-five minutes and erase Magic Power across the continent.
