Natsu and Vermilion Bird fought fiercely until Igneel appeared in the maze and disappeared after unleashing flames hotter than Natsu's. They agreed to set aside their battle to deal with Igneel, while elsewhere Laxus faced Qiliya, who refused to let him leave.

• Natsu traded injuries with Vermilion Bird, relying on Solar Fire to heal his wounds and gain an advantage.

• An old woman claiming to be an information broker knocked Lucy and Happy unconscious with a cloud of gas and planned to sell them.
• Sai used Material Bond to send Gray and Wendy to a group that bound them with Anti-magic Stone ropes, then took their gemstones.
• At the inn, Ye Yang concluded that Golden Owl had put a bounty on the group and assigned Natsu and Erza to find Lucy and Happy, Sting to find Gray and the others, and set off for Golden Owl’s headquarters himself.

Ye Yang rescued Gray, Wendy, and Carla from the Golden Owl Guild, where Genai revealed that the captured wizards were being treated as materials. Natsu rescued Lucy and Happy from the Witch, then asked Sting and Rogue to take his place and do something perverted to the old woman.
