Clearing the Trial

After carefully reading through all the clauses, Qin Hao did not deliberate for long. He signed directly and handed the contract back to Yang Hui.

The terms looked extremely generous, but everything was built upon his own strength. Qin Hao was very confident in his current abilities. His strength was now not much different from Luo Feng's before he went to Australia Continent.

After taking the contract, Yang Hui directly led him to the ninth floor of the Nine-Layered Tower.

When the elevator doors opened, they revealed a spacious hall. Quite a few young men and women sat around chatting casually inside. Upon seeing Qin Hao come up, many of them turned to look at him.

"Your test will be completed in the Virtual Space." As he spoke, Yang Hui put on the helmet and lay down on the sofa. "Follow my example. Put on the helmet and wait a moment. Your consciousness will appear in the Virtual Space."

After hearing this, Qin Hao followed Yang Hui's example, put on the helmet, and lay down on the sofa. The instant he put it on, he felt his head buzz as the surroundings began to change.

Standing on an endless expanse of silver ground, Qin Hao swept his eyes across the area and examined his own body. Other than his Body Strength, it was exactly the same as his real body.

"How amazing. So this is the Virtual Space?" Even though he had seen the Virtual Space in the original story, personally experiencing it was completely different. The Virtual Space was already this realistic, so just how incredible must the Virtual Universe be?

"Qin Hao, this is the Virtual Space. There is only one building in the entire Virtual Space: that Seven-Layered Trial Tower." As Yang Hui spoke, he pointed to a towering structure in the distance that reached into the clouds. Images of all kinds of monsters were carved upon the tower.

"You should have already felt it. Inside this Trial Tower, everyone's abilities are the same: 10000kg Punch Force, 150m/s Speed, and Beginner War General level superior Neural Reaction Speed." Hearing Yang Hui's words, Qin Hao could not help moving his body around to adapt to his Body Strength.

"What you need to do next is give it everything you have and break through to higher levels." With that, Yang Hui stepped aside.

"Qin Hao, please select your Combat Suit and weapon. After making your selection, enter the Trial Tower within one minute to undergo the test." An electronic voice echoed throughout the entire Virtual Space.

Qin Hao quickly selected a Combat Suit and the Extreme Shadow Saber. After changing into the Combat Suit, he walked into the pitch-black entrance ahead.

The space before his eyes shifted, and Qin Hao appeared on a vast grassland.

"Qin Hao, first level Stage A Trial: kill the 50 Charging Beast General level Raging Bulls besieging you within 30 minutes. If you die midway, you fail. If you have not killed 50 Raging Bulls after 30 minutes, you also fail. This is your first time entering the Trial Tower, so you have five minutes to prepare."

"Stage A Trial begins."

Five minutes later, an electronic voice sounded. At the same time, one three-meter-tall, powerfully built bovine Beast General after another appeared in the grass a hundred meters ahead. They were Raging Bulls, renowned among bovine monsters for living in herds.

"Moo!"

The fifty Raging Bulls, their eyes glowing red, charged toward Qin Hao. Their sharp, pointed horns gleamed with a crimson light as they accelerated forward, like a hundred spearheads. If he was carelessly struck, even with a Combat Suit, he would inevitably be pierced through.

The spectacular charge of these fifty Raging Bulls reminded Qin Hao of the Bloodthirsty Tank pack he had encountered. However, there had only been a dozen or so Bloodthirsty Tanks then, utterly insignificant compared to this Raging Bull herd.

Faced with such a sight, Qin Hao remained perfectly calm. Rather than retreating, he stomped on the ground and surged forward with force. Extreme Shadow flashed from its sheath, and with saber in hand and light shining in his eyes, Qin Hao charged into the Raging Bull herd.

The instant he entered the herd, the saber in Qin Hao's hand swung rapidly. Every strike was extremely precise, targeting the Raging Bulls' eyes, throats, mouths, and even their anuses. Each attack claimed a Raging Bull's life. The moment he broke through the herd, every Raging Bull collapsed to the ground, all of them dead.

"Time used: 1 minute 03 seconds. Killed 50 Beginner Beast General level Raging Bulls. Stage A passed. Congratulations, Qin Hao. Next is the first level Stage B Trial. Your objective is to kill 100 Beginner Beast General level Raging Bulls within 30 minutes. Good luck."

After the voice faded, a herd of 100 Raging Bulls appeared on the grassland and charged directly at Qin Hao. However, this still posed no difficulty for Qin Hao. In less than two minutes, all 100 Raging Bulls were dead.

"Time used: 1 minute 56 seconds. Killed 100 Beginner Beast General level Raging Bulls. Stage B passed. Congratulations, Qin Hao. Next is the first level Stage C Trial. Your objective is to kill 200 Beginner Beast General level Raging Bulls within 50 minutes. Among these 200 Raging Bull monsters, there are 190 Elementary Beast General level and 10 Intermediate Beast General. Good luck!"

The first level Stage C Trial was quickly completed, and Qin Hao appeared in a desert. This time, his trial target was Beginner Beast General level Ironclad Scorpions. Ironclad Scorpions were relatively small, making them more difficult than Raging Bulls. However, they still posed no difficulty for Qin Hao.

Qin Hao did not even use his Perfect level movement technique. He swiftly killed every Ironclad Scorpion, and after passing the second level Stage A Trial, he immediately entered the Stage B and Stage C Trials without taking even a moment to rest.

In the original story, Luo Feng had nearly passed the second level by relying on the third level Force Generation of the Nine Heavens Thunder Blade, along with a brief burst of Perfect level movement technique. Qin Hao was now somewhat stronger than Luo Feng had been then.

However, Qin Hao was not fully confident that he could pass the third level.

The surrounding space changed once again. The third level of the Trial Tower was a wilderness, and Qin Hao's opponent changed once more.

"Third Level Stage A Trial. Qin Hao, your objective is to kill 100 Elementary Beast General level Golden Vultures within thirty minutes! Good luck!" The instant the electronic voice fell silent, a dense, black mass of avian monsters appeared in the sky above the wilderness.

Although he faced Beginner Beast Generals each time, there was an enormous difference between Raging Bulls, Ironclad Scorpions, and Golden Vultures. Flying monsters in particular were much harder to deal with when one could not fly. Comparatively speaking, he could only aim for one-hit kills and seize every opportunity to attack. More importantly, he had to avoid the Golden Vultures' attacks.

"Alright, come on." Qin Hao tightened his grip on the saber in his hand and took the initiative to attack the Golden Vultures.
