The instant Genryūsai finished speaking, Kurosaki Ichigo immediately put some distance between himself and Genryūsai, glaring at him as he asked coldly.
"Enemy?"
Genryūsai could not help but laugh upon hearing Ichigo's words.
"Young man, have you misunderstood something?"
"It is not that this old man wishes to become your enemy. It is you who wish to become this old man's enemies. From the moment you entered Soul Society without permission as Ryoka, you were already standing against this old man."
Genryūsai looked at Ichigo with a kindly smile on his face.
"Old man, we had a reason for invading the Seireitei! We have no ill intentions toward Soul Society or the Seireitei. We only came here to save our companion! Is wanting to save a companion somehow wrong?"
Ichigo questioned Genryūsai.
"Haha! A reason? Every Ryoka who has invaded Soul Society has told this old man the same thing. Every one of them had this reason or that reason. After all, if they had no reason, no one would invade Soul Society out of boredom, would they? And every one of them claimed they bore no ill will toward Soul Society or the Seireitei!"
