Ch. 841The World Erupted
Key plot points and events
- Qin Ming, still only a Near-Immortal Being, is ambushed in the mountains by three middle-stage True Immortals: Wei Heng of the Big Dipper Sacred Land, Mu Shou of the Dark Organization, and Jiang Yong of the World Crossing Organization. Their powerful arts injure him, but he counters several attacks and wounds Mu Shou.
- When the fight turns against him, Qin Ming uses the Exotic Gold Cloth’s hidden space as a weapon. He catches Wei Heng’s leg and Jiang Yong’s arm and torso in its closing edge, crippling both. He then overwhelms Mu Shou, leaving all three defeated and at his mercy.
- Qin Ming has the three brought into the cloth’s inner space, where Little Yellow confirms it can collect souls. He then sends a covert guard to spread a false report that he is near death, drawing attention and helping set his larger plan in motion.
- Qin Ming returns secretly to Radiant Peace City, coordinates with Lu Zizai, Meng Zhiyu, and others, then appears publicly. The three enemies’ remains are displayed at the city gate, shocking the world and provoking outrage from the Big Dipper Sacred Land.
- The Lord of the Big Dipper mobilizes his True Immortals and vows to execute Qin Ming. Qin answers with a public challenge, but suspects his allies may already be moving against the Sacred Land’s home base. He heads north secretly to ensure he does not lose the spoils—or let the plan slip beyond his control.
- The chapter ends with the Lord of the Big Dipper learning that celestial demons have appeared near his sect. He recognizes Qin may be headed there and plans to trap the attackers together.
Character developments and interactions
- Qin Ming proves far more formidable than his cultivation suggests, but recognizes that fighting several True Immortals head-on leaves him dangerously exposed. He adapts by exploiting the cloth’s unusual, lethal closing edge. His confidence and ruthlessness grow, alongside his suspicion that his fellow countrymen may be acting for their own gain.
- Wei Heng, Mu Shou, and Jiang Yong begin with overwhelming confidence and covet Qin Ming’s treasure. Their surprise at his abilities turns to desperation; each is maimed or killed, exposing the limits of their cultivation advantage.
- Little Yellow confirms its ability to collect souls, though Qin Ming’s crude description of the prisoners’ “food” disgusts it.
- The Lord of the Big Dipper responds to Wei Heng’s death with controlled resolve. Though he regrets losing a capable successor, he treats the attack on his sect as an opportunity to ensnare his enemies.
- Qin Ming’s exchanges with his allies are strategic rather than trusting: he arranges their moves, then worries they may be trying to claim the victory for themselves. His encounter with Chu Kong’s frightened grandson offers a brief comic contrast to the escalating crisis.
Significant themes

- Strategy, deception, and shifting alliances: Qin stages his apparent peril to manipulate events, while doubting whether his own side is pursuing the same objectives.
- Escalation and public spectacle: The displayed remains turn a private ambush into a political provocation, making open conflict with the Big Dipper Sacred Land inevitable.
- Ambition and control: Both Qin Ming and the Lord of the Big Dipper try to dictate where the coming battle will take place—and who will be caught off guard.
