Tanaka Shuichi hurried to Yuu's side and tried to persuade him in a low voice.

"Th-Third Hokage?"

Yuu took his hands off Kurenai and Rin's shoulders, then staggered over to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Hello there."

Yuu stared at Hiruzen Sarutobi for a long while. Just as Hiruzen Sarutobi was about to lose his patience, Yuu raised a hand in greeting.

Hiruzen Sarutobi felt his face twitch. This brat had stared at him like he was some kind of animal for so long, just to say hello?

"L-Lord Hokage, Yuu doesn't mean any harm. He just drank a little, a little too much today."

Tanaka Shuichi was so frightened by Yuu's behavior that he hurriedly explained.

When he got to why Yuu was acting this way, he even found it hard to say aloud.

The Ninja Academy absolutely prohibited alcohol.

That excuse could only prove his failure as a teacher.

Tanaka Shuichi was on the verge of tears, feeling as though his future had suddenly gone dark.

"Ahem, ahem. It's fine, Shuichi. And you're Kurenai and Rin, right? You can leave first. I have something to discuss with Yuu."

Hiruzen Sarutobi had seen all manner of storms. His earlier roar had only been because this meeting was so different from what he had imagined.

Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled nonchalantly and spoke.

"Yes, Lord Hokage."

Seeing that Hiruzen Sarutobi had no intention of blaming him, Tanaka Shuichi immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Kurenai and Rin looked at Yuu worriedly, but they were constrained by the Hokage's authority, and Hiruzen Sarutobi did look quite kindly at the moment.

The two of them left the office with Tanaka Shuichi.

"You're Yuu, right? I'm this village's Kage, the Third Hokage."

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Yuu, the corner of his mouth twitching as he began a simple introduction.

Did Hiruzen Sarutobi need to introduce himself to anyone else?

Who in the village did not know him, its highest leader?

What child in the village had never dreamed of becoming Hokage?

But with Yuu, Hiruzen Sarutobi truly could not be sure whether he even knew what a Hokage was.

After all, Yuu had grown up clutching a wine bottle.

He had even nearly chopped Kakashi and the others down after mistaking them for spies.

After introducing himself, Hiruzen Sarutobi, as was customary, gave Yuu a speech about the Will of Fire.

"Where the leaves dance, the fire burns on without end..."

"Snore... snore..."

As Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke eloquently, a faint snore suddenly reached his ears.

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked up. Yuu had actually fallen asleep?!

"Yuu! Wake up!!!"

This brat could fucking fall asleep while standing?!

Hiruzen Sarutobi roared as he looked at Yuu, who was sleeping soundly on his feet.

Composure? Composure my ass!!!

No matter how deep one's composure was, this brat would piss them to death!!!
