Boom!
It was like a thunderclap exploding in Obito's mind.
Uchiha Madara—there was not a single member of the Uchiha Clan who had not heard that name.
A legendary shinobi who had founded Konoha alongside the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju; a man as renowned as Hashirama Senju, once invincible throughout the Shinobi World.
"H-How is that possible? Weren't you dead long ago?"
Obito asked in disbelief.
"Without the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, I should indeed have died long ago."
Uchiha Madara sat before the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and spoke calmly.
"T-The Demonic Statue of the Outer Path?"
Obito stared blankly at the massive statue, his eyes filled with shock.
"S-Since you saved me, then let me go back. My comrades still need me."
As if suddenly recalling something, Obito hurriedly said.
"Comrades... I saved you because I need you to do something for me."
Uchiha Madara said indifferently.
"W-What is it? What can I possibly do for you? What are you plotting? I refuse!"
Obito spoke in disbelief. What could a dead last like him possibly do for Uchiha Madara?
Damn it, I have to go back!
Obito's mangled body writhed across the ground as he roared inwardly.
"It's useless. There is no exit here. If you want to die, I'll take that Sharingan of yours."
Uchiha Madara said calmly.
"The Sharingan? What do you need a Sharingan for? Don't you have your own?"
Obito panted heavily, but the next sight made his pupils constrict.
"My eyes have already been entrusted to someone else. This is merely a temporary replacement. My right eye socket happens to be empty."
Uchiha Madara brushed aside the hair covering his right eye, revealing an empty socket.
"Y-You... what exactly are you plotting? D-Don't tell me your target is Konoha?!"
