With a casual motion through the air, Mr. Black and White drew two intersecting lines of starlight in midair.
"Intersecting fate lines... While stargazing last night, I happened to see your fate lines intertwining. And I could not see the future beyond their intersection at all, which was why I deliberately arranged this.
So, are you satisfied with the result of this test, Instructor Pasha?"

Pasha did not know how Mr. Black and White had recreated her past experience.
Though her expression barely changed, a ripple passed through Pasha's heart.
She really had been like that once.
Since she had not yet mastered any combat techniques at the time, she had wanted to team up with the other Knight-Errants to clear the trial. Yet while crossing Dark Moon Forest, her ankles had been severed, leaving her unable to move.
Her teammates had not hesitated in the slightest. They had decisively abandoned her.
When monsters came at her, she had thought she was certain to die. Yet when she woke, she was already in the infirmary of the high tower... Her test result had been a failure, but because the Mysticism Department had been severely understaffed at the time, they had kept her.
However, no mentor had been willing to take her on with such results.
Without receiving any resources at all, Pasha had relied on her unique talent and perseverance to keep going in the "darkest" places.
In the end, she earned Mr. Black and White's recognition, becoming a member of the Plague Knights and remaining at the academy as an instructor.
