A sheet of darkness...

"How can I meet Xue just once?!" Li Yang shouted wildly into the boundless darkness.

His voice echoed endlessly through the dark space...

"When your flying daggers can move ten times faster than bullets, you may meet her once!" A deep, resonant voice rang throughout the entire Dark Space.

A cold glint flashed in Li Yang's hand.

"Whoosh—"

A flying dagger instantly tore through the darkness, leaving only a flash of cold light.

"Not enough. Still not fast enough!"

The flying dagger in Li Yang's hand flashed again.

"Whoosh—"

Li Yang could clearly feel that the dagger was somewhat faster than before, and a thread of hope immediately rose within him.

"Not enough. The speed is still not enough!"

Li Yang kept throwing flying daggers. For some reason, his daggers seemed inexhaustible. One dagger after another—whenever he heard the verdict of failure, Li Yang continued throwing. His gaze was firm and unwavering, all for the girl in his dreams—Jiang Xue.

Little Li Flying Dagger, never missed its mark. At its pinnacle, one dagger released could startle ghosts and gods; with a flash of blade-light, heaven and earth would split apart!

Beads of sweat ran down Li Yang's temples, dripping slowly, yet beneath his feet lay only a dark void. The drops vanished the instant they fell.

No one knew how many failures he had endured, but Li Yang never gave up!

"Congratulations. The speed of your flying daggers has finally met the requirement! I shall grant your wish!" The deep voice sounded.

The scene abruptly changed.

The Dark Space from moments ago instantly became a boundless green prairie.

"Brother Yi, come quickly!" Like an elf, Jiang Xue ran laughing across the endless grasslands.

Li Yang blinked, staring at everything before him in disbelief.

"Xue!"

Overwhelmed with joy, Li Yang immediately chased after her.

"Brother Yi, where did you go? I waited for you for so long! Look, isn't that rabbit adorable?" Jiang Xue smiled sweetly. Li Yang immediately smiled as well, his body becoming like a wisp of smoke as he instantly caught up to the rabbit and grabbed it.

"Here!" Li Yang held the rabbit out before Jiang Xue.

"Wow, thank you, Brother Yi!" Jiang Xue immediately took the little white rabbit, cradling it in her arms and stroking its warm fur.

Li Yang stood to one side, smiling. When he watched Jiang Xue smile, he smiled too. He did not know why; he only knew that if Jiang Xue was happy, then he was happy as well.

"Brother Yi, let's go riding together!" Jiang Xue pointed with a smile at the fine horses in the distance.

Li Yang immediately followed her. The two of them rode side by side, galloping over the boundless prairie...

The sun slowly sank, and darkness descended once more. Jiang Xue rode her fine horse away, vanishing at the far end of the grasslands.

"Giddyup!" "Giddyup!" "Giddyup!" "Giddyup!"

In panic, Li Yang continuously struck the fine horse beneath him, but no matter what he did, the horse would not move.

Li Yang immediately dismounted, intending to chase after her himself, but then he suddenly discovered that everything around him was dark. He had returned to that Dark Space.

"How can I meet Xue once again?!" Li Yang asked the Dark Space.

"When your flying daggers are a hundred times faster than bullets, you may meet her once!" The deep voice rang out from every direction within the Dark Space.

Li Yang said nothing more. He directly threw every flying dagger with all his strength.

Once, twice...

"Not enough. Still not fast enough!" The deep voice sounded again and again.

Li Yang stood as motionless as a rock, while flying daggers flashed from his hand like lightning, vanishing in an instant.

No one knew how long passed. Perhaps a day, perhaps a year, perhaps a hundred years.

"Congratulations. The speed of your flying daggers has finally met the requirement! I shall grant your wish!" The deep voice sounded.

The scene within the Dark Space immediately changed.

All around him was a riot of dazzling colors.

A gigantic rainbow completely filled Li Yang's field of vision—the Rainbow World!

Within the Rainbow World, Jiang Xue, like a fairy maiden, sat bored upon a rainbow bridge.

Puffing out her little cheeks, bored Jiang Xue suddenly spotted Li Yang. Her eyes immediately lit up, and she cried, "Brother Yi, come quickly! I'm here! I've been waiting for you for a very, very long time!"

Li Yang immediately ran over, passing through rainbow after rainbow and walking along paths of rainbow until he reached Jiang Xue's side. Then he sat with her upon the rainbow bridge.

"Brother Yi, didn't we go riding on the prairie yesterday? Why did you suddenly disappear afterward?" Jiang Xue blinked as she looked at Li Yang and asked.

Li Yang immediately explained, "I got lost yesterday. Today, I'll definitely stay with you the entire time!"

The smile on Jiang Xue's face immediately blossomed brightly.

The two of them kept talking as they strolled through the endless Rainbow World.

Suddenly, the Rainbow World darkened. Jiang Xue's figure vanished again, and Li Yang returned once more to the Dark Space.

"How can I meet Xue once again?!" Li Yang asked again.

"When your flying daggers surpass the speed of light, you may meet her once!" The deep voice rang out from every direction within the Dark Space.

Li Yang said nothing further.

He kept throwing flying daggers.

One dagger, two daggers...

"You cannot possibly succeed. Your flying daggers can never surpass the speed of light. You will have no chance to see her again!" This time, the deep voice directly snuffed out Li Yang's hope.

"No! Impossible!"

Li Yang let out a low roar. The flying dagger in his hand transformed into a streak of light, instantly slicing through space like a ray of sunlight illuminating the entire darkness. The Dark Space shattered with a bang like glass. At the same time, somewhere at the endless edge of the Dark Space, a crisp crack rang out, and Jiang Xue's hazy figure flew out of the Dark Space as well.

Li Yang's figure also became illusory, disappearing into the shattered Dark Space.

Li Yang opened his eyes, faint tears of unwillingness at their corners.

"So it was a dream!" Li Yang slowly sat up from the bed and carefully looked over every corner of the room.

The desk, the wardrobe, the windowsill...

Wooden carvings in all kinds of poses filled the entire bedroom. At a glance, there were at least several hundred of them, every single carving depicting Jiang Xue. Under the bedroom lights, each wooden carving seemed as lifelike as a True Person. These were all carved by Li Yang after every experience in the Dark Space.

Unfortunately, every time before this, Li Yang had ultimately failed to reach the speed of light. But this time seemed a little different. That final dagger seemed to have reached light speed and destroyed the Dark Space—something that had never happened before!

Li Yang believed it had been a dream, yet everything in the Dark Space had felt far too real. Li Yang had even suspected that it was another space.

"Brother Yi!"

A familiar yet distant voice, like one from a dream, rang out. Li Yang's body trembled, and he slowly turned his head.

Jiang Xue, dressed in white, stood smiling at the bedroom door...
