As skeleton after skeleton stepped up before Gu Xi, he gained a clear understanding of what he had harvested this time.
A total of 473 Black Robe Cultists had been blown to death. Their souls and corpses had all become materials for Gu Xi's Summoning.
Whether the summoning succeeded or failed, as long as he used Summoning, he would gain 1 point of Summoning Experience.
By the time he summoned the last few corpses, Gu Xi's Summoning had already reached Level 3.
Although he had not yet reached the level where he could directly summon undead such as Walking Corpses, skeletons could still be developed in many different ways.
With the newly emerged Skeleton Heads and Skeleton Warriors, the skeletons under Gu Xi's command had begun to transform into a legion, and some special skeletons had appeared as well.

There were also 43 skeletons who had not been assigned to any squad, bringing his total force to 180 Skeleton Soldiers.
Those 43 skeletons had not been assigned to squads not because their attributes were poor, but because Gu Xi no longer had Skeleton Heads to command them.
Compared to Skeleton Warriors, Skeleton Heads were harder to find.
Among the undead under Gu Xi's command, apart from ordinary undead, there were actually two advancement paths.
One was the Captain path. They could lead 25 to 50 undead of their own kind in battle. As for how many they could lead, that depended on their leadership ability in life.
Further down this path were Heroes who could lead seven squads, and Leaders who could command seven Heroes.
Through this method, a Necromancer could easily command an Undead Scourge of over a million undead.
The other was the warrior path. They lacked the ability to command their own kind, but their combat power was greater than that of their peers.
For example, a normal Level 0 Skeleton had 1 Attack, 1 Defense, and 10 life, while a warrior could reach 3 Attack, 2 Defense, and 20 life.
At the same time, they could retain the combat techniques or battle skills they had possessed in life. They belonged to the powerful fighter type.
Continuing down this path, they would become Elites and eventually Brave Warriors.
Of course, just as in normal circumstances, neither Elites nor Brave Warriors could compare to the Hero and leader paths.
Still, their combat power was there, and Gu Xi had no intention of underestimating them.
Once all 180 skeletons had lined up, Gu Xi swept his gaze over them.
The enhanced skeletons were clearly much stronger than before.
Even though they were all Level 0 Skeletons, their bones were no longer dry, yellowed remains. They were now the color of normal bone, thicker as well, and looked far more agile.
The weapons in their hands had obviously been upgraded too.
In the Battle Squad Gu Xi had initially led, the skeletons had held Daggers upside down in one hand and short wooden clubs in the other.
After the upgrade, they still held their Daggers upside down, but the short wooden clubs in their right hands had become Short Hand Axes.
Gu Xi had no idea where these Short Hand Axes had come from, but judging from their style, every one of them bore a distinct undead aesthetic.
The remaining three Battle Squads used Two-Handed Swords, Long Spears, and sword-and-shield combinations respectively.
The weapons of these troops had all become quite standardized. Gu Xi simply did not believe those Two-Handed Swords and Long Spears had been picked off corpses.
It was clear that the Undead Domination skill was extremely important to a Necromancer.
"I'll find a way to put points into it after I get back."
Gu Xi muttered, then raised his Scimitar and pointed it toward the Abandoned Stone Gate in the distance.
The Black Robe Cultists along this route had all been killed by Gu Xi's earlier wave of Corpse Explosion. No new Black Robe Cultists had been sent over yet, so there were no enemies left before them.
At Gu Xi's signal toward the Abandoned Stone Gate, the skeletons began advancing.
Yet Gu Xi had not expected that the skeletons had barely started moving when Jack and his group charged in as well.
Ignoring the danger, they ran wildly across the bloody sludge left behind when the skeletons had appeared, rushing toward the Abandoned Stone Gate.
Gu Xi was somewhat surprised by the sight of them.
But recalling their earlier behavior, he understood. Hadn't they risked everything to stay behind for that very legend?
When facing such a legend, they truly did not care about their lives.
After hesitating for a moment, Gu Xi slowed the undead down.
He was different from them. Gu Xi's goal was to destroy this abandoned stone gate.
Whether there really was a Fake City behind the gate, as Jack and the others claimed, was unimportant to Gu Xi.
He simply wanted to vent the fury of having been captured and brought here.
Once he destroyed the stone gate, he could find a safe place and leave.
As for Jack and the others wanting to enter the Fake City and seek out some big shot, that had nothing to do with Gu Xi.
Slowing his troops' advance was already giving them face.
At most, he would let them go first before destroying the gate.
That would repay them for the information they had brought him.
Jack and the others, however, had no idea what Gu Xi was thinking. After rushing past Gu Xi's skeleton troops, they sped up even more.
They were truly afraid that Gu Xi would destroy the Abandoned Stone Gate in one stroke. If that happened, they had no idea where they would find one of the six gates to the Mirror Dungeon again.
Just as Jack and the others were about to reach the Abandoned Stone Gate, a voice suddenly came from its direction.
"Don't come any closer!"
But Jack and the others did not listen. Not only did they not stop, they accelerated instead and slammed straight into the stone gate.
The instant they struck the gate, the seemingly abandoned stone gate suddenly lit up. Layers of mercury appeared at its center, like an enormous mirror standing before everyone.
The moment Jack and the others saw it, they truly believed they had found the legendary gate to the Mirror Dungeon. Without a second thought, they charged straight inside.
The next instant, Gu Xi saw a flash of white light, and the surroundings completely changed.
He was moved from the underground space to a patch of grass outside a palace. At the far end of the lawn, where the Abandoned Gate had stood before, stood a decayed Guillotine.
