Corpse Explosion, at the very least, still made use of corpses.
But with Corrosion Spell, once it was cast, whatever it touched would leave behind not even a corpse, only some corroded liquid.
To necromancers, there was no spell more wasteful than this.
Yet no matter how much necromancers complained about it, they had to admit that Corrosion Spell was actually quite powerful.
It was especially effective against heavily armored troops, troops with high magic resistance, and troops charging out in large numbers.
That was precisely the situation before them. The instant those roots and beasts rushed out, Corrosion Spell was like a huge basin of Aqua Regia poured over their heads.
Before those roots and beasts had any time to react, their bodies melted apart on the spot.
The roots in particular were the easiest to corrode.
As soon as Corrosion Spell came down, the roots were severed at their base.
