"Oh, that's all?"

Shaya took two steps back with an annoyed look, then lightly lifted herself onto the edge of a wooden barrel.

She raised her legs, pinning her red dress between them. The red gauze skirt wrapped around her shapely thighs, making them look like gleaming jade pillars.

"What are you looking at?"

Seeing Gu Xi glance over, Shaya merely tugged at her skirt without any intention of jumping down.

"I wasn't looking at anything. Just tell me, can you handle this or not?"

"Something this simple? Of course I can. Tell me, what kind of person are you looking for? The Wheel of Fate has been in Victoria for hundreds of years. We've got all the connections you could want. As long as you give us a name and some information, even if they've turned into bones, we can dig them up for you."

"It's not that troublesome. I just want you to help me find a broker to handle some real estate matters."

"A broker? Real estate matters? That's easy. But what area is the property in? No need for a detailed address—just tell me the district, and I'll arrange someone for you directly."

The moment Shaya heard that, she became even less interested. Somehow, she produced a shiny silver knife and began filing her nails with it.

"Camden District. I have a three-hundred-square-meter Land Purchase Order. I'm not asking for much—I just need to secure a piece of land in Camden District."

"What did you say?" Shaya immediately jumped down from the barrel.

"Camden District. What's wrong? Is it inconvenient over there?"

Gu Xi looked at Shaya in confusion. He did not understand why she was so nervous.

"No, you have a Land Purchase Order?"

What Shaya cared about was not the district, but the Land Purchase Order in Gu Xi's possession.

"Yes. What, are you thinking of robbing me?"

Gu Xi's gaze sharpened as he stared at Shaya, his expression changing.

Shaya felt a chill run through her entire body, as though a dagger had been pressed against her throat.

"No, the Wheel of Fate is an Order Guild. We don't do that kind of black-on-black business. Don't be so tense."

Gu Xi said nothing and did not withdraw his pressure. He merely watched Shaya's performance in silence.

"I really didn't mean that. It's just that I know this sort of job well—no, what I mean is, I can do this job too."

Gu Xi gave Shaya another look and took a step back. Only then did Shaya feel the chill pressing down on her vanish.

At last, Shaya let out a breath of relief. She no longer looked down on Gu Xi as she had before.

Shaya had already realized that Gu Xi was a professional. Though she did not know his class, he was clearly not the reckless sort.

Before she could determine Gu Xi's class, she had no intention of provoking him.

"Why are you interested in the Land Purchase Order?"

Gu Xi did not say whether he would let Shaya take part in this matter. Instead, he asked another question.

He felt that Shaya's attitude was off.

"It's nothing much. A few days ago, my mentor took on a job too. He traded a Land Purchase Order for a large apartment building. I was curious at the time why those people had gone to my mentor for that deal, but he wouldn't tell me.

"I didn't ask further. Then you happened to have a Land Purchase Order too, so I overreacted a little."

Gu Xi stared at Shaya without saying whether he believed her.

His gaze made Shaya's skin crawl. Just as she was about to say something, Gu Xi picked up a piece of bread from nearby, dipped it into the soup, and slowly began to eat.

"His attitude is that he doesn't believe you." At that moment, the waiter's voice sounded behind Shaya.

Hearing Gu Xi's requirements, the waiter had some thoughts.
