Using Summoning at a time like this would instead disrupt the Undead Transformation.
Even if Gu Xi could not provide Shaya with a better environment, he would not destroy what was happening.
Under Gu Xi's soothing presence, Shaya's twisted face gradually eased, while the wound in her abdomen visibly began to heal.
Just as everything seemed to be improving, Gu Xi suddenly noticed Shaya's face turning pale, large corpse spots beginning to spread across her skin.
"The transformation is about to fail? How is that possible?"
Gu Xi recognized what was happening at a glance, but he could not believe his own judgment.
Everything had clearly been heading in the right direction. How had it suddenly taken such a cliff-like plunge?
"Is there not enough Negative Energy?" Gu Xi looked around. Besides Shaya's corpse, many human corpses hung here. They should have been the Twisted Magicians' usual experimental materials, food, and perhaps even the final source of energy for resurrection.
Gu Xi had initially planned to wait until the skeleton soldiers finished clearing the ruins outside before transporting these corpses back to Aryadovi.
But now that something had gone wrong with Shaya, Gu Xi could not worry about that anymore. He pointed at the corpses and began drawing out the Negative Energy and Death Aura they produced to make up for Shaya's loss.
Under Gu Xi's control, great amounts of black, gray, and purple aura were drawn from
