"Guild Master, I brought him."
As he explained some of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild's inner workings, Li Xinghui led Gu Xi to the Guild Residence's main Council Hall.
Before anyone inside could respond, the doors of the main Council Hall opened.
Gu Xi noticed that the one opening the door was a yellow-furred weasel in a black tailcoat, its face bearing a fierce expression.
"That's the Guild Master's butler staff. The Guild Master studied a wide range of things. He previously contracted a Ferocious Weasel named Yellow Third Grandfather as a Contract Undead, and now all the butlers in the Guild Residence are Yellow Third Grandfather's descendants.
"They're all quite capable, far better than those things called house-elves. If you need anything, just go straight to them."
As they spoke, Gu Xi and Li Xinghui entered a small room behind the main Council Hall.
The Chaoyang Radiance Guild's Guild Master was sitting in the small room, waiting for Gu Xi's arrival.
The moment he saw the Guild Master, Gu Xi froze for a moment. On the way over, he had imagined what this Guild Master might look like. He had considered everything from a skeleton head to all sorts of bizarre styles.
But Gu Xi had never expected the Guild Master before him to possess such an immortal, Taoist air.
His white hair was tied into a Taoist bun, secured atop his head with an ebony hairpin.
He wore a long white robe that emitted a faint white light.
When he saw Gu Xi, the Guild Master nodded at him.
"You're a good kid. Welcome to the Chaoyang Radiance Guild."
"Thank you."
Gu Xi reached out and shook the Guild Master's hand. After that, there was nothing more for him to do here.
Li Xinghui did not accompany Gu Xi
