Ch. 183Invasion of the Amusement Park

Gu Xi defended his City Gate Tower from the clown pirates by ordering his Skeleton Archers and Skeleton Mages to attack them as they jumped from the Pirate Ship. He used a Pea Shooter that mutated aboard the ship to kill the Pirate Leader, while the battle around the tower continued.

  • Gu Xi ordered his Skeleton Archers and Skeleton Mages to fire at the clown pirates jumping from the Pirate Ship, killing at least six hundred before the survivors landed among his undead.
  • Gu Xi climbed to the top of the City Gate Tower and fired Bone Spikes at the Pirate Leader, who shattered one and then steered the Pirate Ship past the tower.
  • Gu Xi tossed a Pea Shooter onto the Pirate Ship, where it mutated beside the Figurehead Cannon and gained greatly increased attack power and ammunition.
  • The Pea Shooter blasted the Pirate Leader onto the deck and killed him with a barrage of pea shells.

Ch. 184A Full-Scale Offensive Against the Undead Scourge

After the Pirate Ship exploded, Gu Xi lost more undead and discovered the Undead Scourge Magic Array’s connections had been disrupted across its nodes. As the Abominations launched their third wave, Gu Xi prepared to defend his position and noticed a moving castle that might be an illusion or trick.

  • The Pirate Ship exploded in midair, and falling debris destroyed another group of Gu Xi’s undead while leaving him and his City Gate unharmed.
  • Gu Xi realized the Undead Scourge Magic Array’s support had been severed, while amusement park rides and balloon attacks devastated the other nodes.
  • The Mage Leader remained confined to protecting the array’s core and hoped the Abominations could be eliminated before they secured this world’s coordinates.
  • As the Abominations began their third wave, Gu Xi sent fifteen Gargoyles with a letter requesting support within three hours and packed his equipment for a last stand.
  • Gu Xi saw a gigantic moving castle behind the Abomination forces and suspected its distorted appearance and vanishing patrollers indicated an illusion or magic trick.

Ch. 185The Other’s Plan

Gu Xi realized the Otherworldly Demon Army and castle were moving as phantoms, then deduced that the real enemy planned to use the castle to seize an edge of the Undead Scourge Magic Array. He rushed to block the castle’s intended position by deploying a Farmer Cabin and fled back toward the array as it appeared.

  • Gu Xi sent Ghosts and Skeleton Soldiers to attack the castle and Otherworldly Demons, but they passed through them without making contact.
  • Gu Xi recognized that the enemy’s movement resembled Luna’s Mirror Image Movement and noticed the Otherworldly Demons’ feet were not moving.
  • Gu Xi realized the castle was being moved toward the edge of the Undead Scourge Magic Array to occupy its node, while his City Gate blocked the center.
  • Gu Xi ordered Skeletons to carry his Cabin Backpack to the castle’s intended position and hurried there on the Evil Coffin.
  • Gu Xi deployed the Farmer Cabin more than seven hundred meters from the array, then fled as its rising walls knocked several Skeleton Soldiers aside.

Ch. 186Seeking Help

Gu Xi survived a devastating explosion at his City Gate, while the Necromancers at the Undead Scourge ritual array received his plea for help. As they debated whether they could support him, Liu Kai arrived and asked to see the letter.

  • Gu Xi used the Evil Coffin’s Temporary Speed Boost to escape the blast, then found a huge crater where the Castle and its wights had been.
  • The Mage Leader and more than sixty Necromancer players continued channeling mana into the Undead Scourge ritual array as nearly all outer nodes fell.
  • Gargoyles delivered Gu Xi’s letter to the Necromancers, who recognized his name and argued over which Divine Skill he possessed.
  • The Necromancers decided they lacked the troops and mana to help Gu Xi and planned to send the Gargoyles back.
  • Liu Kai approached the Necromancer holding the letter and asked to read it.

Ch. 187The Otherworld Ghosts' Crushing Tactics

Gu Xi used the pit left by his earlier castle explosion to disrupt the Otherworld Ghosts’ advance and split their forces. He concentrated his undead against one group of knights, whose charge was repeatedly stopped by coordinated spear attacks.

  • Gu Xi ordered his undead into battle as the Otherworld Ghost troops advanced with more than six thousand forces, including a Knight Squad and a main force carrying battle flags.
  • The Knight Squad slowed and split to circle the pit, while Gu Xi’s Skeleton Archers and Skeleton Mages fired on them and his Ghosts attacked the disorganized main force.
  • Gu Xi sent Battle Squad 1 and the undead spearmen to focus on the knights moving left, and the Skeleton Head led them in a coordinated spear formation.
  • The undead spearmen interrupted the knights’ renewed charge by thrusting into their mounts, then kept advancing and attacking despite losing their own front ranks.
  • The Skeleton Head killed an Otherworld Ghost Knight, and the summoned creature leveled up to Level 4.

Ch. 188A Battle at the Limit

Gu Xi’s forces fought the Otherworld Ghost Knights and scattered Otherworld Ghost troops on both sides of the pit, with magic and the Death Avatar slowing the knights while the Bonecleaver Battalion engaged the scattered enemies. As Gu Xi sent Battle Squad 1 to reinforce the struggling undead, fifteen Gargoyles arrived from the City Gate with a dark Swarm.

  • Gu Xi used Undead Tendrils and Skeleton Mage spells to halt the Otherworld Ghost Knights, while the Death Avatar disrupted their charge and dragged their leader into the air.
  • A Two-Headed Otherworld Ghost cut down Ghosts with a red flame Longsword and a blue ice Longsword, then chased them as they scattered among the enemy troops.
  • The Bonecleaver Battalion led Gu Xi’s remaining Undead Army against the scattered Otherworld Ghost troops, but the Two-Headed Otherworld Ghost gained the upper hand against the two Skeleton Heads.
  • Gu Xi ordered Battle Squad 1 to leave the remaining knights and reinforce the scattered undead.
  • As Gu Xi prepared to summon more undead, fifteen Gargoyles arrived from the City Gate leading a dark Swarm.

Ch. 189The Reinforcements Arrive

Gu Xi received Liu Kai’s Corpse Poison Flies, whose attacks weakened the Otherworld Ghost main force and turned the battle in his favor. As Gu Xi committed his troops to the fight, the Death Avatar killed the Two-Headed Otherworld Ghost, leaving only its mechanical clown head and twin Longswords.

  • Gu Xi read Liu Kai’s letter and learned that the Gargoyles had brought 100 swarms of Corpse Poison Flies as reinforcements.
  • The Corpse Poison Flies weakened the Otherworld Ghost main force, allowing the Ghosts to kill or wound more than half of it.
  • Gu Xi cast White Bone Storm and ordered his Skeleton Archers, Gargoyles, and other troops to attack the remaining enemies.
  • The Two-Headed Otherworld Ghost attacked the Death Avatar and ran along its neck toward its head, trying to slay it.
  • The Death Avatar struck the Two-Headed Otherworld Ghost with Dissolving Rays and a tail attack, melting its body and leaving its mechanical head and two Longswords.

Ch. 190Desperate Straits! The Otherworld Ghosts' True Main Force Appeared

Gu Xi and his undead forces pushed the Otherworld Ghosts’ first main force toward defeat, but a vastly larger enemy army arrived before the battle was over. He summoned fresh undead and prepared them for the final charge as three regiments of Otherworld Ghost Knights advanced.

  • Gu Xi led the Skeleton Mages in a barrage that wiped out nearly a hundred charging Otherworld Ghosts while the Ghosts and Battle Squad 1 fought across the battlefield.
  • A new enemy force arrived with nine hundred Otherworld Ghost Knights, more than ten thousand Otherworld Ghosts, Giant Otherworld Ghosts, and Flying Troops.
  • Gu Xi used Summoning to raise undead from the battlefield corpses, then ordered them to take up Long Spears and prepare for the final battle.
  • As the Otherworld Ghost Knights began their charge, Gu Xi raised the Cold Wind Staff and invoked Death Avatar.

Ch. 191Last Stand

Gu Xi and the Death Avatar fought to hold back the overwhelming Otherworld Ghost Army, while the Death Avatar targeted its leaders. The enemy’s clown-like Commander-in-Chief appeared and sealed the Death Avatar’s Eyes of Dissolving Ray for five days.

  • Gu Xi sent the Death Avatar against the Otherworld Ghost Knights while he used his last Magic Potion and prepared to raise more undead.
  • The Death Avatar killed many Otherworld Ghost Knights with Death Dragon Breath, then swept through the enemy army with a Crystal Dust Storm.
  • The surviving Otherworld Ghost troops attacked Gu Xi’s newly raised undead, leaving more than half dead or wounded.
  • A clown in a balloon craft appeared and berated the Otherworld Ghost commanders for failing to capture a node.
  • Gu Xi recognized the clown as the operation’s powerful Commander-in-Chief, and the Death Avatar diverted toward him.
  • The clown turned the Death Avatar’s Eyes of Dissolving Ray into red balloons, sealing their power for five days.

Ch. 192The Tables Turn! Great Avalanche

Gu Xi’s battle against the Otherworld Ghosts was interrupted when the Undead Scourge Magic Array unleashed its Great Avalanche, forcing everyone to flee for shelter. Buried beneath the snow after surviving inside the array, Gu Xi heard the Mage Leader announce the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s victory and call the Heroes to return.

  • The clown sealed the Death Avatar’s Crystal Dust Storm and black mist, so Gu Xi made it self-destruct and prepared his forces to face the charging Otherworld Ghosts.
  • Gu Xi spotted a growing Ice Mountain above the Undead Scourge Magic Array, recognized the Great Avalanche, and fled back into the array on the Evil Coffin.
  • The clown escaped through a balloon archway, and the Otherworld Ghosts scattered as the avalanche began.
  • Gu Xi reached safety, but many Skeleton Soldiers and the Zombies were left outside and frozen as the snow and cold swept across the battlefield.
  • After the avalanche buried the City Gate, the Mage Leader announced that the Chaoyang Radiance Guild had won and told the Heroes to grip their tokens to return.

Ch. 193Retreat from the Battlefield

After returning from the battle, Gu Xi joined the surviving players who had guarded the Undead Scourge Magic Array’s outer nodes. The Mage Leader recognized their sacrifices and distributed rewards, including compensation and an honor badge for Gu Xi.

  • Gu Xi was pulled from the battlefield, treated with a defective Full Recovery Potion, and learned that other outer-node defenders had survived.
  • Gu Xi introduced himself to the surviving players, who gathered to protect their merits and secure recognition for fallen comrades.
  • The Mage Leader arrived, thanked the outer-node survivors, and handed out their rewards.
  • The Mage Leader gave Gu Xi a Delivery Note for twenty Building Blueprints, promised compensation, transferred surviving undead to him, and presented resources and an Undead Scourge Ritual Badge.
  • Gu Xi accepted the rewards and thanked the Mage Leader.

Ch. 194Reward List (54150)

Gu Xi reviewed his battle rewards and the losses among his undead army after the Undead Scourge battle. He found that two additional units had appeared in the army report, but their details were left for the next page.

  • Gu Xi read that his nineteen Powerful Enemy kills earned an Undead Scourge Campaign Kill Mark, which increased his undead troops’ vitality by 6.
  • Gu Xi received a delivery note for twenty building design drawings and learned Chaoyang Radiance Guild would have turned him into a Lich if he had died.
  • Gu Xi received resources as compensation, leaving him confident he could develop Aryadovi City without short-term shortages.
  • Gu Xi reviewed the returning undead troops and learned that Battle Squad 1 and all the Zombies had been lost, while several other units escaped back into the magic array’s control range.
  • Gu Xi noticed two additional units listed at the bottom of the army report, each with a written note.

Ch. 195Rewards for Discovering the Replaced Base and Wrapping Up the Mission

Gu Xi received generous rewards for discovering that the base had been replaced, protecting the outer nodes, and killing nineteen leader-level Otherworldly Ghosts. After the Mage Leader declared the invasion over and announced benefits for the players, he handed out skins, and Gu Xi picked up one of the eggs.

  • Gu Xi received a thousand Level 4 Zombie Axe Shield Soldiers and two thousand Level 4 Skeleton Spearmen, including six Undead Headmen, as rewards.
  • The Mage Leader praised the players for stopping the Otherworldly Ghost invasion and defeating its leader in the CC80 World.
  • The Mage Leader offered visiting players mission lists to leave the world and gave stationed players a month of leave, doubled stipends, and priority for advancement or class-change applications.
  • The Mage Leader praised Loose Immortal Garden's performance and distributed skins to the players.
  • Gu Xi asked a nearby player about the skins, learned they could change the appearance of his Skeletons, and picked up an ochre egg.

Ch. 196Troop Skins and Trading

Gu Xi traded Zombie Skin—Frost Otherworld Ghost for Skeleton Skin—Curse Night, then spoke with Liu Kai and offered him herbs in return for the Corpse Poison Flies. Gu Xi asked Liu Kai to connect him with a wealthy Death Knight who might buy a Purple shield, and Liu Kai began writing a letter before asking what Gu Xi wanted in exchange.

  • Gu Xi traded Zombie Skin—Frost Otherworld Ghost for Skeleton Skin—Curse Night.
  • Gu Xi greeted Liu Kai, who refused to take back the Corpse Poison Flies he had lent him.
  • Gu Xi gave Liu Kai medicinal herbs he had collected while fighting the Giant Otherworld Ghost Leader.
  • Gu Xi asked Liu Kai whether he knew a wealthy Death Knight who needed high-quality tank equipment.
  • Liu Kai identified a Chaoyang Radiance Guild heir who wanted to join the Blazing Sun Knight Order and began writing him a note.
  • Liu Kai asked Gu Xi what he wanted in exchange for the Purple shield.

Ch. 197Temporary Large-Scale Trading Market

Gu Xi explored a trading market in Loose Immortal Garden, learned about Liu Kai’s newfound status, and searched for valuable goods. He bought two Bone Giant rib bones from a seller whose secret Bone Synthesis skill left Gu Xi confused.

  • Liu Kai arranged to contact a wealthy buyer for Gu Xi’s large building blueprints and suggested Gu Xi wait in Loose Immortal Garden for visiting traders.
  • Players told Gu Xi that Liu Kai had become heir to the Poison Curse Book, top-tier purple equipment for Necromancers, prompting Gu Xi to raise the value he placed on the Ghost Face Skin.
  • Gu Xi inspected market stalls and learned that a player was selling hiring slots for ogres produced by a Bridge Stone Pillar while keeping the pillar and two weekly ogres.
  • Gu Xi found a stall selling Bone Giant bones and asked for two rib bones from the player who claimed to have killed an Otherworldy Ghost Leader.
  • The seller offered Gu Xi a cheaper price and asked him to keep quiet, while Gu Xi remained puzzled about the deal.

Ch. 198Crazy Shopping Spree

Gu Xi bought a large stock of cheap weapons and supplies from players, then met three Necromancers who wanted to sell him a large building they had obtained on a mission. The chapter ended with Lei Pengpeng offering to show him the building.

  • Gu Xi bought thirty bloodied rib bones from a player, then restocked on cheap military supplies.
  • Gu Xi's bulk purchases drove up military-supply prices, so he prepared to put away Death City's City Gate and return to the Loose Immortal Garden.
  • Lei Pengpeng and two Necromancers approached Gu Xi after noticing his City Gate, and Lei Pengpeng introduced herself and asked about his city.
  • Lei Pengpeng told Gu Xi her group had a large building from a mission that did not suit them, and offered to show it to him.

Ch. 199Obtaining a Large Building (57150)

Gu Xi examined Lei Pengpeng's Bone Demon Lamp and agreed to buy it at her proposed price. After completing the trade, Lei Pengpeng searched her backpack for another item to offer him.

  • Gu Xi saw that the Bone Demon Lamp could establish a Bone Magic Tower that trained Skeleton Mages, and understood why Lei Pengpeng's group wanted to sell it rather than build it in the wilderness.
  • Gu Xi asked Lei Pengpeng to name her price, and she priced the lamp using the materials and construction time it saved, along with the market value of a large building design drawing.
  • Gu Xi learned that large building design drawings cost at least one unit of Dragon Steel and realized he had quoted Liu Kai too little for one.
  • Gu Xi agreed to the price and traded one unit of Dragon Steel, 2,000 Negative Energy, 10 units of stone, and 10 units of wood for the Bone Demon Lamp.
  • Lei Pengpeng, impressed by Gu Xi's supplies, searched her backpack for another item to sell him.

Ch. 200Back to the Loose Immortal Garden

Gu Xi returned to Loose Immortal Garden and waited outside Du Wushuang’s home, eager to learn whether she had survived the battle. Du Wushuang arrived battered but alive and invited him to bathe with her.

  • Lei Pengpeng showed Gu Xi a Hatchling Dragon’s soul, but Gu Xi declined it because it would not help him farm or improve his plans.
  • Gu Xi and Lei Pengpeng exchanged Raven Contact Methods so she could offer him Building Blueprints and other items later.
  • Gu Xi returned through the Teleportation Gate to Loose Immortal Garden and went to Du Wushuang’s locked home.
  • Gu Xi sent an owl to find Du Wushuang, then waited outside her door.
  • Du Wushuang galloped up, fell from her horse, and threw herself into Gu Xi’s arms.
  • Du Wushuang told Gu Xi she was covered in someone else’s blood and invited him to a private bathhouse.

Ch. 201A Hearty Meal

After surviving the battle, Gu Xi and Du Wushuang recovered at the Loose Immortal Private Hot Spring and shared a hearty meal. Gu Xi invited Du Wushuang to help him collect his battle rewards at Warehouse No. 9, while learning that she had three and a half years left on her garrison agreement.

  • Gu Xi and Du Wushuang soaked at the Loose Immortal Private Hot Spring and compared their experiences and losses from the battle.
  • After their clothes and armor were cleaned, Gu Xi and Du Wushuang changed into casual clothes and went out to eat.
  • Du Wushuang took Gu Xi to a restaurant serving Grand Tonic Meal and showed him how to enjoy its plentiful food.
  • Gu Xi asked Du Wushuang to accompany him to Warehouse No. 9 to collect his Building Blueprints and supplies, hoping to borrow her luck.
  • Du Wushuang told Gu Xi she had three and a half years left on her garrison agreement before she could challenge Level 5.

Ch. 202Du Wushuang's Good Luck

Gu Xi and Du Wushuang collected supplies and opened twenty Building Blueprints at Loose Immortal Garden's Warehouse No. 9. Du Wushuang's unusually good luck yielded several useful buildings, including an Eternal Enslavement Altar that could help Gu Xi restore fallen undead, and Gu Xi was left eager to put the blueprints to use.

  • Gu Xi inspected the delivered supplies and confirmed their quantities were correct despite problems with their quality.
  • Du Wushuang opened a box and found a Haunted Mine-Crystal design drawing, which delighted Gu Xi.
  • Du Wushuang opened a Steel City Gate design drawing, and Gu Xi explained how a second gate could improve his battlefield tactics.
  • Du Wushuang opened the remaining boxes and found Plunder Hall, Witchcraft Chamber, and Eternal Enslavement Altar design drawings among the useful blueprints.
  • Gu Xi recognized that the Eternal Enslavement Altar could restore fallen undead to their original levels and regretted not having had one before Battle Squad 1 was wiped out.
