Gu Xi planned to capture Aryadovi City's Upper and Middle Districts before turning his attention to Aryadovi Tower. He assigned Death Avatar the Middle District and led his own forces toward the Upper District, where the Ghoul Shadows were already formed up for battle.

• Wine Maiden gave Gu Xi intelligence reports on the Upper and Middle Districts, including their defenders and the plots gained by capturing them.
• Gu Xi told Wine Maiden to keep watch on Aryadovi Tower and scout for new enemies, while she warned him that her group lacked the manpower for all the scouting.

• Gu Xi fired a Bone Spike and sent his Undead Army charging, with the Ghosts flying ahead toward the Ghoul Shadow Head.
• The Ghoul Shadow Head unfolded his many arms, caught the attacking Ghosts, and blocked the Skeleton Archers' focused volley.

• The Ghosts killed the remaining Ghoul Shadows on the bridge and also defeated two hidden Ghoul Shadow Heads.
• Gu Xi sent the rest of his Undead Army into the Upper District while he collected Ghoul Qi Beads and three drops from the fallen Ghoul Shadow Heads.
• Gu Xi obtained the Ghoul Immortal Hand, the Twisted Giant Tree Seed, and the three-use Ghoul Shadow Substitute.

• Gu Xi acknowledged the gargoyle Training Camp but postponed arranging a squad when an explosion sounded in another Middle District.
• Gu Xi met Luna on the way and learned that much of the Middle District had been destroyed, while the Death Avatar flew toward the Dragonbone Laboratory.

Gu Xi and his undead fought to restrain the Vine Tentacle while the Death Avatar attacked its root in the black mist and severed it. The Death Avatar was destroyed by the snapping tentacle, and Gu Xi summoned it again just as the severed mass burst into the Middle District, drenching the area in dark green fluid and tearing free of its pin.

• Gu Xi ordered his undead to attack the Vine Tentacle while he used spells and the Mind Nether Lamp to draw it toward him.
• Gu Xi pinned the tentacle with the Cold Wind Staff, giving the Death Avatar a chance to travel along it through the black mist toward its root.
• The Death Avatar combined Dissolving Ray with Death Dragon Breath and severed the tentacle's root, but the snapping tentacle smashed him to pieces.
• Gu Xi summoned the Death Avatar again after sensing its fall and warned his forces to prepare for impact.

After defeating the tentacle, Gu Xi discovered that the Middle District had been transformed by strange vegetation and dark green rain, but Luna confirmed Aryadovi City had occupied it. Gu Xi named it the Demon Plant Zone, sealed a passage in the black mist, and reviewed the city’s progress toward Level 4.

• Gu Xi found that the tentacle had become a huge root plunging into the Deep Pit as dark green rain covered the Middle District in weeds and trees.
• Gu Xi called his troops to assemble, and Luna arrived to confirm that the Middle District had been occupied despite extensive destruction and unusable plots.
• Luna led Gu Xi to a passage torn open in the black mist, and Gu Xi ordered it sealed until they were stronger.
• Gu Xi named the area the Demon Plant Zone and examined Aryadovi City's Level 3 status, regretting the lost building plots and experience he needed for Level 4.

Gu Xi discussed Aryadovi City’s construction priorities with Luna and Dimi, agreeing to build Barracks after the Magic Tower and to add Auxiliary Buildings. He then headed to the Upper District to inspect a building site and search for another holy relic, with Dimi joining him.

• Gu Xi noticed Luna had arranged a statue holding the Sword of Courage outside the Council Hall.

• Gu Xi told Luna to guard the Demon Plant Zone passageway and keep watch on Aryadovi Tower, which Aryadovi City needed to capture to reach Level 4.
• Gu Xi found a short staff on the core plot reserved for a Magic Tower, and a prompt identified it as the Nature Staff and warned that removing it would turn the plot ordinary.

• Luna led Gu Xi and the others to the Clock Tower, where approaching it made Gu Xi feel as though his body was rusting.
• Gu Xi sent his Death Avatar toward the tower, but the time effect stiffened it and made it crash before it could reach the top.
• Gu Xi rode the Evil Coffin toward the tower, then used a Skeleton Warhorse to charge inside when the coffin stopped.
• Gu Xi chose to occupy the relic building and learned that the relic was a Time Pointer rather than the gear found in Victoria City.
• The relic’s effects let it accelerate a building’s weekly output, return the city’s soldiers to their state from an hour earlier, or suspend one person affected by a certain-death or unsolvable effect.

After securing the Clock Tower and its holy relic, Time Pointer, Gu Xi left Aryadovi City to explore the Loose Immortal Garden, where urgent-sounding drums summoned him and Du Wushuang to the General's Platform. They arrived to find Wood accompanied by the Knight Commander and the Mage Leader, as a major mission appeared to be unfolding.

• Gu Xi explained Time Pointer's effects to Luna, then left her to build the Core Building and plan Aryadovi City's Upper District.
• Gu Xi returned to the Loose Immortal Garden and found Du Wushuang asleep, but thunderous drumbeats soon summoned them to battle.
• Du Wushuang donned her armor and said the drums were calling them to the General's Platform for a major mission.

Gu Xi volunteered for the ritual with his powerful Death City abilities, and the Mage Leader welcomed him as key to the mission.

• Wood announced that the counterattack against the Otherworldly Ghosts was beginning and said Loose Immortal Garden would take part in an organized attack.
• The Knight Commander ordered the Death Knights to join the Blazing Sun Knight Order in hunting an Otherworldly Ghost Hero near Loose Immortal Garden.
• The Mage Leader assigned the Necromancers to prepare an Undead Scourge ritual to sever the Otherworldly Ghosts' invasion passage.

The Mage Leader recruited Gu Xi to help defend Loose Immortal Garden’s world rift and offered him Design Drawings as a reward. Gu Xi agreed to fight in exchange for thirty medium and small Design Drawings, then followed Liu Zishi to Warehouse No. 9 to collect ten at random.

• The Mage Leader explained that Loose Immortal Garden was a pillar city protecting a world rift and asked Gu Xi to fight on the front lines against the invading aberrants.
• Gu Xi requested building blueprints, and the Mage Leader promised him ten Design Drawings in advance and twenty more after the battle.
• The Mage Leader assigned Liu Zishi to guide Gu Xi, and Gu Xi agreed to the deal.
• Gu Xi summoned his Evil Coffin and followed Liu Zishi through Loose Immortal Garden on their faster, heavily modified Evil Coffin.

• Liu Zishi told Gu Xi that Warehouse No. 9's administrator, Kern, had become unusual after someone altered its Building Blueprint.
• Gu Xi opened the boxes and obtained five medium blueprints, including two Alchemy Laboratories, an Endless Mine, a Corpse Burial Tree Pit, a Witch Hut, and a Lonely Pedestrian Square.
• Gu Xi opened four small blueprints: a Corrosion Moat, a Troop Stockade City Gate, a Hawkeye Arrow Tower, and a Morale Boosting Drum Tower.
• Gu Xi decided he could use three of the small buildings on the battlefield and summoned his City Gate.

Gu Xi accompanied Liu Zishi to the edge of the CC80 World, where the Undead Army was guarding cracks in the world passage. Liu Zishi left Gu Xi with the crucial task of holding a front-line position until the Undead Scourge ritual began.

• Gu Xi asked Liu Zishi how to modify an Evil Coffin, and Liu Zishi explained how to improve its shell and feed the evil thing inside.
• Liu Zishi brought Gu Xi to the Ritual Battlefield entrance and activated an elevator that transported them underground through a troop passage.
• Gu Xi and Liu Zishi rode their Evil Coffins to the outskirts of CC80 and saw three cracks suppressed by Loose Immortal Garden, the Extremely Frozen Sea, and Death God Snow Peak.
• Liu Zishi explained that Necromancers were guarding the cracks to prevent them from being occupied and told Gu Xi to hold the front-line position while he retreated.

Gu Xi was assigned to defend a token and its Undead Scourge Magic Array, which summoned undead to the battlefield. After learning his army had suffered heavy losses, he ordered Aryadovi to recruit and prepare more troops, then rested while his forces took up positions.

• Liu Zishi placed the token and explained that Gu Xi had to defend the Magic Array as it summoned up to three thousand undead.
• Gu Xi summoned the City Gate from Aryadovi to protect the token platform, and Luna led his remaining army out of the city.
• Luna reported heavy losses, so Gu Xi ordered her to recruit Skeleton Soldiers, Skeleton Archers, and Gargoyles and accelerate construction of the city's defenses.

Gu Xi woke as the Red Skin Dried Corpses approached and prepared his forces to meet them. He sent Luna and newly converted Skeletons into a charge, then drove the Evil Coffin toward the battlefield as the enemy charged back in disarray.

• Luna woke Gu Xi and reported that the undead were positioned and the enemy was approaching.
• Gu Xi sent the Gargoyles to scout, and they reported three enemy formations of slow, tough troops led by a commander.
• Gu Xi ordered Luna to lead the Ghosts and newly converted Skeletons forward while most of his own troops stayed behind.
• Gu Xi advanced with the Evil Coffin and ordered the Skeletons to charge, prompting the Red Skin Dried Corpses to charge in response.
• Gu Xi saw the enemy formation break into disorder and sped the Evil Coffin toward the battlefield.

Gu Xi led his undead into battle against a Red Skin Dried Corpse force, disrupting its charge and targeting its commander. The Abomination commander faced Gu Xi and a swarm of Skeleton Archer arrows as the fight continued.

• Gu Xi recognized his post as a node in the Undead Scourge Ritual Magic Circle and charged the enemy with his undead instead of staying on defense.
• Gu Xi’s White Bone Storm froze and scattered the charging Red Skin Dried Corpses, allowing Luna, the Skeleton Archer Leader, and the Skeletons to attack them.
• Gu Xi spotted the Abomination commander at the rear of the enemy formation and struck him with a Bone Spike.
• The Abomination commander suspected Gu Xi was bait and charged forward, but Gu Xi trapped him in a White Bone Storm and called for the Skeleton Archer Leader to focus fire.
• The Abomination commander blocked many incoming arrows with his iron rod, and Gu Xi targeted him with Bewitch the Heart using the Mind Nether Lamp.

Gu Xi and his undead defeated an abomination and held back the Red Skin Dried Corpses. He ordered the Skeletons to surrender most of their battlefield loot, then planned to equip and train the strongest ones as his main combat force.

• Gu Xi used Bewitch the Heart and Undead Tendrils to help the Skeleton Archers and Skeletons overwhelm the abomination.
• Gu Xi blocked the Red Skin Dried Corpses with a White Bone Storm while Luna and the Ghosts distracted them.
• The Skeletons dismantled the abomination and brought its head and attached brains to Gu Xi.
