Toward evening, the final sermon at Saint Audrey Church in Backlund's Empress Borough was nearing its end. When Justice Audrey Hall walked into the prayer hall carrying a pale-yellow waist-length dress and a ladies' parasol, she happened to hear Archbishop Susie leading all the assembled Fool believers in chanting the slogan:
"Praise the Fool!"
Surrounded by Mr. Fool's holy emblem and the sunlight piercing through the stained glass onto the altar, a sophisticated woman of about thirty with long golden hair and a bishop's robe began directing several pastors in distributing the holy communion-though she herself did not lift a finger.
That was because she was a dog.
In Audrey's eyes, Susie walked among the believers clad in pristine white garments, occasionally exchanging brief pleasantries or offering individual blessings to certain believers, her steps light as if she were taking a leisurely stroll.
Yet to all the Fool believers other than Audrey, Susie was none other than the respected Lord Archbishop herself.
As early as eight years ago, namely 1360, Susie had fully digested the Dreamwalker potion and, with Audrey's help, prepared the subsequent materials to complete the promotion ritual, becoming a true demigod and gaining a lifespan that was exceptionally long relative to her original species.
Whether she could advance any further in the future was something Audrey felt held little hope, but Susie was already very satisfied with this. She likewise believed in the great Mr. Fool, becoming the archbishop of Saint Audrey Church. On one hand, she provided corresponding faith anchors for Mr. Fool and Audrey; on the other hand, she thoroughly enjoyed this time of openly and fairly communicating with humans.
Of course, this Fool church located in the Empress Borough, right next to The End Church of Saint Wensa Church, was not built for Susie.
