Angel replied without the slightest apology, then looked toward old Mr. Eye of Wisdom, the only person likely to recognize it. His hands were tucked beneath his robe, and his eyes casually swept over the Beyonder Characteristic, as though he had no interest in it.
Seeing no one make an offer, Angel sighed inwardly, closed the box, and put away the Beyonder Characteristic.
Perhaps she could only wait for Mr. A's gathering. There were clearly more Beyonders there, and perhaps someone would be willing to buy it.
After two more transactions, a man pushed up the iron mask over his nose and spoke in a deep, resonant voice:
"Adult Widow Giant Spider's Silk Gland. Is anyone selling one, or does anyone have related information?"
Angel looked at him in surprise, then immediately shifted her gaze away to avoid letting him notice.
