The enthusiastic Ms. Escalante received the group and led them into the villa's spacious living room.
Audrey's two guards, her personal maid, and Angel, who was also acting as a guard, remained in the living room. Audrey, meanwhile, took her Golden Retriever, Susie, and followed the waist-length-haired Escalante to the sitting room, where they would hold a seminar on psychology.
Angel sat down on a sofa in the living room and carefully observed the surroundings. This was her habit whenever she arrived somewhere unfamiliar. Besides, she had to protect Audrey Hall today, so she needed to be especially cautious.
The two burly guards and Audrey's maid, Anne, also took their seats. Angel had vague impressions of them. She had seen both guards before at the Hall Family villa. Their meticulous military habits made it obvious that they were retired soldiers. The maid, on the other hand, moved elegantly and wore a calm expression. Taking the steaming black tea, Angel did not drink it. Instead, she set it on the side table. Anne lowered her head and rummaged through an astonishingly large handbag, which likely contained items Audrey needed but could not conveniently carry herself. The two guards had already relaxed their vigilance and begun speaking quietly. To them, this was perhaps just an ordinary noble social gathering.
Unfortunately, Angel herself felt much the same way. Otherwise, she would never have risked coming here, even to protect a fellow member of the Tarot Club.
