After leaving the ball, making her way through East Borough, stopping by the safe house, and finally returning home, it was already late at night.
Angel went down to the basement and cautiously formed a sheet of ice with Frost. She smeared the Communication Potion she had obtained from Trissy around the edges of the mirror, creating an oval enclosed area. This used up about a third of the potion, meaning the same kind of communication could only be carried out two more times.
The frost-covered mirror quickly turned pitch-black before displaying the scene on the other side. The other mirror seemed to be placed in a dark, unlit room. Although Angel had Dark Vision, that ability could not pass through the Spirit World to reach the other side, leaving her almost unable to make out the surroundings.

Angel frowned at the Ice Mirror. The potion around its edges was rapidly evaporating, while the remaining droplets gradually melted and ran down the rim like fresh blood. Once all the potion disappeared, the connection between the two mirrors through the Spirit World would be cut off.
She continued waiting for several minutes. Just as Angel thought this communication would end meaninglessly, she caught sight of a slip of paper in one corner of the mirror, with something written on it. Because the surroundings were so dark, she could only lean close to the Ice Mirror and inspect it carefully. At the instant the connection broke, she made out the words on it.
"Contact me again at five o'clock Sunday afternoon."
