"This, this, and this."

Angel, who had arrived at the first-class dining room ahead of everyone else, poked at the menu and picked several dishes that neither she nor Klein particularly liked.

"And one serving of everything else."

With Danitz "generously" footing the bill, she had become rather lavish with her ordering. Of course, another major reason was that tonight's menu was not particularly extensive. Most of the first-class passengers had gone ashore to sample the local fare, leaving the restaurant with relatively few dishes prepared.

Seeing the waiter leave with the menu, Angel turned to look down at the deck outside the window. Under the setting sun, the passengers going ashore had already dispersed in twos and threes. Some took advantage of the remaining daylight to visit the native ruins near Bansy Harbor, while others headed straight for local restaurants with all sorts of specialty dishes. Donna's family had just reached the gangway and were preparing to disembark. From the conversation between Blanche and her husband, it was clear that their destination was the pig blood at Lime Restaurant.

The excited girl did not notice Angel above her, but the sharp-eyed Krivis looked up. Upon recognizing her, he gave a slight nod in greeting.

The waist of his coat bulged noticeably; he had clearly brought weapons and had not lowered his guard just because this was a peaceful, quiet little port.

"Aren't you going ashore for a look around?"

It would still be a while before it was this family's turn to disembark. Krivis moved closer to the wall and looked up as he asked.

"Thank you, but we're not very interested in Bansy's specialty dishes..."

Giving a halfhearted explanation, Angel gazed into the distance, as though she could see the pig blood Danitz had described as incomparably delicious
