On Saturday night, after using the "Falsehood" ring to turn herself into an unremarkable Loen woman, Angel arrived in an alley near the docks with Helene.
"Knock, knock, knock, knock."
After rhythmically knocking on the door of a two-story building, the door soon opened a crack. A pair of wary eyes glanced outside, followed by a deep voice:
"Come in."
Helene pressed one hand against the revolver at her waist and pushed open the door with the other, walking inside. Angel looked to both sides outside, saw no one following them, and slipped in as well, closing the door behind her.
This was the home of an Artisan in Oravi Harbor who was not particularly famous but was fairly skilled. Helene had heard his address from Vice Admiral of Ailment Tracy and introduced him to Angel two days ago.
They had come to collect their goods tonight.
Several gas lamps were lit in the room. Special reflectors and lenses concentrated their light onto the workbench, illuminating it as brightly as day while leaving everything else in deep darkness. The weary-looking Artisan, around forty years old, picked up two exquisitely crafted harmonicas from the table and came before Angel.
"They each have the summoning ritual you gave me permanently inscribed into them, and the designs were made exactly according to your requirements. Four hundred pounds in total."
Holding a harmonica in each hand, the Artisan did not immediately hand them over. Instead, he looked at Angel, his temporary employer, clearly intending to exchange the goods for payment at the same time.
"I remember agreeing that both harmonicas would cost three hundred pounds in total?"
Angel asked with a smile, though there was not the slightest hint of amusement in her narrowed eyes.
