The journey back to the surface from the Underground Mausoleum went smoothly.
Helene no longer needed to observe the taboo of "Must Enter Blindfolded," because the Special Mirror World formed in this area had changed masters. The "Mirror Persons" born of corruption no longer appeared, much less replaced people who saw a reflective surface and their own image, leaving the mausoleum in their stead.
But Helene still could not violate the rule that "there must be light." She therefore retrieved her lantern and followed the route she had taken in, easily leaving the Corpse Mountain and the winding passage behind to return to the cemetery behind the church.
From this, Helene suspected that the power within the mausoleum was divided into two main parts. The power that controlled the soldier puppets and governed the Special Mirror World belonged to "0-01" itself, while the power that made people vanish in darkness belonged to the opposing force that sealed it and prevented it from remaining active.
Before leaving, she also found the Affliction Demoness characteristic Lisa had left behind, the cross-shaped Mystical Item of the Judge sequence, and Gusin's Reaper characteristic.
Even without obtaining Salinger's Blood Banner, the spoils from this trip to the Underground Mausoleum would have been well worth risking her life for. And besides...
Standing at the mausoleum's entrance, Helene looked at the cemetery in surprise. It seemed to have been turned upside down, with gravestones askew and graves forced open from within.
She had originally thought that corpses coming back to life was limited to the Corpse Mountain, where the power leaking from the Sealed Artifact "0-01" was more concentrated. She had not expected the same thing to have happened in the cemetery above.
Fortunately, it's been sealed again. That power should have disappeared... Looking at the corpses
