During that brief spell of darkness, Christina had been able to notice everything around her because she held the powerful Sealed Artifact, the Magic Wishing Lamp. Not only had it allowed her to see everyone's movements clearly, but it had also let her sense the gaze of the shadow creature on the iron-black throne deep within the hall. She knew that its gaze could induce "corruption," breeding dissatisfaction and resentment toward oneself and one's companions, and even making self-aware Sealed Artifacts betray their owners.
That included the flesh inside the glass bottle Franca had thrown, as well as Arrodes, which had saved them several times before.
The mirror, which possessed living characteristics, immediately broke free of its restraints and began questioning the people around it one by one, forcing them to choose between answering embarrassing questions and accepting punishment. Its questions grew increasingly pointed and difficult to answer.
Seeing this, Tina could only ask the Genie for help in her heart. Just as when the sisters had been kidnapped, she asked to use a wish in advance to help her escape danger.
Otherwise, even if Dorothy answered the question, Tina would be next, and she had no way of predicting when the Magic Wishing Lamp would become "corrupted" and slip out of her control.
