Among these six nine-rayed beams, two were gold, one blue-violet, one milky white, one green, and one red. The six rays of light reflected off one another in the sky. Though none was anywhere near as terrifying as the Demon God Emperor's Demon God Pillar, the instant they shot into the heavens, the overwhelming psychological pressure bearing down on Demon Expelling Pass's walls vanished. Everyone atop the walls gasped for air.
At some unknown moment, six people had appeared below Demon Expelling Pass. Drawn by the light emanating from their bodies, they slowly rose into the air and faced the Demon God Emperor from afar.
At the sight of them, the Demon God Emperor could no longer continue his little numbers game, and his expression darkened.
"You old geezers truly are impossible to get rid of. Do you really think I dare not kill you?" the Demon God Emperor said coldly.
The aged voice from before rang out again. "Of course Your Majesty dares. Your Majesty is the strongest being in the world—what would you not dare to do? But when it comes to age, we are far inferior to Your Majesty. We cannot accept being called old geezers."
By then, the six figures had flown above the city walls. They completely blocked the Demon God Emperor's overwhelming spiritual pressure, allowing the soldiers of Demon Expelling Pass to finally see them clearly.
At the forefront stood a knight clad in dazzling orange armor. He was tall and powerfully built, his entire body, including his head, concealed beneath the armor. In his left hand was an enormous orange shield, while his right held a massive sword that shone like the morning sun. Nine clusters of light gleamed along its blade, dazzling like nine miniature suns.
Most shocking of all was his
