Because Torchic, Popplio, and Bounsweet had only just arrived at the Breeding House, Lin Feng spent these days keeping them company and soothing their emotions. His days had become rather peaceful.
He led Gardevoir in making Energy Cubes, harvested various crops for deliveries to Uncle Chen, milked the Miltanks, and fed the Pokémon. A week passed like flowing water.
Then, one morning,
something rather unusual happened.
As Lin Feng was feeding Energy Cubes to Milotic and Popplio as usual,
a heat wave suddenly tore across the sky, followed by a piercing bird cry.
Looking up,
the Pidgeotto that had been quietly staying in the sky suddenly soared higher.
"Pidgeot!"
Within the blinding white light, its body began to stretch...
Lin Feng's eyes immediately lit up. "Is Pidgeotto evolving?"

Ever since it had absorbed Moltres's Divine Feather, it had made tremendous progress. Combined with the barbecue it had eaten some time ago, which had stimulated the energy within its body, its Energy Level—which had already been close to evolution—rose once again.
Now, it was the perfect time to evolve.
And Pidgeotto was not the only one who had eaten a great deal of barbecue that day. Torchic had as well. Before long, Torchic would likely evolve too.
The white light in the sky gradually faded. Pidgeotto, which had originally resembled a hawk, expanded once more. The crest feathers atop its head grew longer, and its gaze became sharper.
The brown wing feathers it should have gained after evolving into Pidgeot had instead turned crimson on its body, gleaming with a metallic luster. They even seemed to carry flickering sparks. From afar, it looked like a blazing flame flying through the sky, magnificent beyond compare.
What a huge bird.
"Pidgeot~!"
