Chapter Summaries

Lin Feng learned that Ho-Oh would soon come to see him, then met Cynthia, the new Champion of Sinnoh, at his Breeding House. He brought her to the Plantation, where she encountered his Alolan Ninetales.

• Suicune and Entei told Lin Feng that Ho-Oh would come find him personally, and Lin Feng suspected his Sacred Chocolate had increased Ho-Oh's strength.
• Lin Feng headed to the Breeding House and found Cynthia choosing ice cream; customers recognized her as the new Sinnoh Champion.
• Lin Feng greeted Cynthia and led her to the Plantation, while she showed interest in his Pokémon cuisine and the Sky Challenge.
• Cynthia was astonished by the Plantation's crops, and Alolan Ninetales approached her ice cream.
• Cynthia recognized Alolan Ninetales as a Ninetales from the Alola region.

Lin Feng explained Giratina and the Distortion World to Cynthia, who hoped to meet the legendary Pokémon. He told her she could see Giratina that very night after Canon got off work, then invited her to stay for a meal.

• Lin Feng asked Indeedee sister to entertain Cynthia while he went to the kitchen.
• Indeedee sister showed Cynthia the giant Peachy Fruit Tree, the Cow Shed, and the garden, explaining that Lin Feng had built the Plantation himself in less than a year.
• Indeedee sister led Cynthia to the berry orchard, where Cynthia saw numerous powerful-looking Pidgeot and other Pokémon.
• Cynthia felt an unusual, legendary-like Pressure from Serperior beneath the Peachy Fruit Tree.

Cynthia visited Lin Feng’s orchard and villa, where she discovered Energy Cubes that could shrink Pokémon and tried one with her Garchomp. She shared a meal with Lin Feng and his Pokémon, and her delight in the food left her impressed by his cooking as well as his many other skills.

• Cynthia watched Furret and Ponyta gather berries, then followed Indeedee sister and the Pokémon crowd to the villa for mealtime.
• Cynthia saw Pokémon shrink after eating Size-changing Energy Cubes, and she fed one to her Garchomp before cuddling it in its smaller form.

• Cynthia realized that Lin Feng had likely crushed Luo Bingxue in battle, and Luo Bingxue explained why Cynthia had come to Wutong Town.

• Luo Bingxue brought out seven Pokémon, including Regice, Meganium, and Slaking, and told Lin Feng they were all her Pokémon.

• Lin Feng noticed that Dragon-type Pokémon such as Dragonite, Goodra, and Latias had grown unusually clingy after he drank Dragon Scale Wine.
• Lin Feng asked Ceruledge about the Spirit Gate, and Ceruledge said it had once entered the gate before other guardians appeared and restricted passage from the Spirit World.
• Lin Feng asked whether Ceruledge had seen the Lord of the Spirit World, but Ceruledge had not.

As Lin Feng worried about Mewtwo’s two-month silence, the chapter revealed that Mewtwo had been battling Red and his Pokémon on Mt. Silver for nearly five months. Mewtwo finally answered Lin Feng’s call on August 20, bearing battle injuries that left Lin Feng wondering who it had fought.

• Mew and the others left the Breeding House after staying for several days, and Lin Feng watched them depart while anticipating Jirachi’s awakening.
• As the town’s construction and land prices continued to grow, Lin Feng realized on August 17 that Mewtwo had not called him in two months and decided to contact it soon.
• Mewtwo challenged Red on Mt. Silver, where Red’s Articuno broke through its Psychic Barrier and sent it crashing into the snow.
• Red planned to keep battling Mewtwo until he could defeat and catch it, while Mewtwo eagerly demanded another fight.

Lin Feng learned that Mewtwo had spent five months repeatedly battling Red, whose Pokémon had grown powerful enough to injure it. Several days later, Mewtwo called again in its Mega Evolved Y form, leaving Lin Feng to learn what had happened.

• Mewtwo told Lin Feng that it had challenged Red at Mt. Silver more than a hundred times, and Red's Charizard and Pikachu had grown strong enough to hurt it.
• Mewtwo said Red's Pokémon were improving more slowly, while Mewtwo felt it was close to breaking through its own limit, then hurried off to challenge Red again.
• Lin Feng speculated that Mewtwo might achieve Mega Evolution through its battles with Red and returned to thinking about lunch when Tsareena brought tulips into the villa.
