After bidding farewell to Rayleigh, Bright and Alexander began their return journey.
Sitting cross-legged on Alexander's back, Bright kept testing things out by swinging his fists.
Haki wrapped around his arms, but it lacked Rayleigh's agility. It merely clung quietly to his arms. Forget firing it off like cannonballs as Rayleigh did—even making it move slightly was difficult.
He had no clue where to start.
But Rayleigh had said it was simple. In the original story, the junior disciple had unconsciously used advanced Haki techniques within days and fully mastered them in less than a month.

Could it really have been a matter of his talent?
Bright refused to believe that.
The training continued.
First, hardening. Then, wrapping Haki around the hardened surface and releasing it.
After that, controlling the Haki and making it flow.

Alexander immediately grew interested, his voice rising. "Is it the more powerful technique you mentioned before, one beyond hardening?"
"That's right."
Bright chuckled. "So, do you want to learn it?"
"Of course!"
The proud deep-sea warrior did not hesitate.
He had always longed to become stronger.
A year had passed, and Alexander could now use Haki hardening. Although his proficiency was certainly far inferior to Bright's, it was already remarkable.
After all, he was a Sea King.
"Then listen carefully. Don't forget any of it."
Bright poured every little trick he had learned from Rayleigh into Alexander's ears.
