In another world Bright could not see, unlike this one that had already been completely destroyed, Elegia Island still existed and had not yet been sunk beneath the sea.
The monster was still running rampant, though.
"Ah, it's been a long time, Uta."
Red-Hair grinned as he looked up at the monster in the sky. "You've grown up. By the way, I watched every one of your previous performances and even urged everyone to vote for you."
Inside the Demon King, Uta's lips trembled, and two streams of tears slid uncontrollably from the corners of her eyes. Her slender shoulders shook faintly.
After summoning this Demon King again, she understood everything.
Compared to five years ago, she had grown up a great deal. After summoning the Demon King, she had not immediately lost consciousness and had witnessed the monster's wanton destruction across the island.
Now, everything had become clear.
She was the one who had destroyed this island.
She was the culprit behind every tragedy. Was that why Shanks had abandoned her?
"Roar!!"
The Demon King raised its arm and smashed it down toward Red-Hair!
"Looks like I'll have to deal with this guy before we can have a proper chat."
Red-Hair drew the sword at his waist. "Big guy, don't get in the way of me meeting my precious daughter!"
He charged forward without dodging.
"What the hell were you thinking, you idiot?!"
Uta clenched her fists tightly. Tears had blurred her delicate face beyond recognition as she screamed herself hoarse,
"Why didn't you tell me anything?! You left on your own and took all the blame! Did you think that was cool?!"
"It was obviously all my fault, wasn't it?! Yet you let me hate you for so long! Why would you do something so stupid, you idiot?!"
