"How did that kid get caught by the Navy just after setting sail?"
In Bright's office, Tesoro, whom he had called over, looked at the newspaper with a baffled expression.
He naturally remembered the Spade Pirates quite clearly. After all, they had visited his company and asked for autographed photos.
Since they were his fans, Tesoro naturally had no bad impression of them. There had been no conflict between them to begin with.
"Who knows?"
Leaning back in his broad recliner, Bright remarked calmly, "After all, on this sea, no matter what happens, it isn't particularly surprising, is it?"
"That's true."
Tesoro nodded lightly. The Spade Pirates had been heading to the New World, and in those waters, any sort of situation could arise.
"Maybe they got lost and wandered into waters near a Navy base. That's really unlucky."
Tesoro shook his head regretfully and looked at Bright. "So, Bright, are you starting to regret that your guidance over the past few days went to waste?"
"Or perhaps—"
He grinned and winked at Bright. "Are you planning to do something?"
"Everyone has their own adventure. There's no need to interfere with someone else's voyage,"
Bright said leisurely. "That was what I originally wanted to say."
"But?" Tesoro raised a brow.
"But something about this situation is off."
Bright said, "Do you think Fire Fist Ace is worth the Government specifically holding a public execution for?"
Tesoro thought for a moment, then frowned as well. "Of course not. That kid may be a Logia user, and he did refuse a position among the Shichibukai, but his bounty is only a little over two hundred million."
Pirates with bounties exceeding a billion had been locked up in Impel Down. How could a pirate worth only two hundred million deserve a public execution?
