The location was Ryugu Palace, the royal palace of the Fish-Man Kingdom. Tesoro stared upward, nearly dumbfounded.
Up at Vegapunk's enormous head.
"So, so huge!"
Queen Otohime's nose was even running.
To welcome the two Doctor Vegapunks, all of Fish-Man Island's senior officials had gathered there.
"This is too exaggerated!"
Even King Neptune could not help clicking his tongue. Vegapunk's head was bigger than his entire body!
"The world's greatest scientist truly is extraordinary!"
Jinbe nodded solemnly.
Come to think of it, a man with technology five hundred years ahead of the world naturally ought to possess a brain of this caliber!
Bright could not help glancing sidelong at Brother Jinbe.
A brain in the literal sense?
"From now on, we'll be imposing on everyone here at Fish-Man Island for a while. Please take care of us."
The clone Vegapunk was far more sociable than the original. Grinning, he greeted Bright and his companions.
"Rather, Doctor Vegapunk, your arrival brings great honor to Fish-Man Island."
King Neptune was no shut-in from the deep sea. He had properly chatted and forged deep friendships with the kings of many human kingdoms.
His social skills were not lacking in the slightest. Smiling, he began conversing with the clone Vegapunk.
"But you actually pulled it off, huh?"
Tesoro walked over to Brant's side and could not help laughing gleefully. "I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Government reacts!"
"What reaction could they have? Either they'll fly into a rage, or they'll hate us to the bone."
Bright shrugged. "But no matter what, they can no longer change the outcome."
"I'm starting to feel more and more that victory is already ours."
Tesoro spoke seriously.
"Of course. From the very beginning, victory could only ever be in our hands!"
