The next day, Bright got up early.
He had not slept in for a long time. The Immigration Bureau had expanded once more, leaving even more matters to handle. Although the civilian staff had also been increased, Bright still had to personally approve every major decision.
On top of training and assorted chores, his daily schedule was packed full.
After a quick breakfast, Bright headed to the training grounds in the Sea Forest.
Training had already begun.
Brother Jinbe was teaching Fishman Karate to the second batch of squad captains.
As for the first batch, they had learned nearly all the combat techniques. They had even been taught how to train Haki. What came next depended on their own efforts.
At the very least, Bright knew that all the squad captains worked extremely hard in private. They often came to him for guidance. Although none of them had awakened Haki yet, their attitude was sincere enough.
Even Brother Arlong took this matter very seriously. He deeply remembered what Bright had said: he had to become stronger, or he would not be able to keep up with Bright's pace—or the development of Fish-Man Island.
If Arlong was like that, then Shark Star was even more so.
Brother Jinbe said that among everyone, Shark Star had the greatest talent and progressed the fastest in Fishman Karate. He would probably be the first to learn Haki, perhaps even faster than Hyouzou.
Bright was not surprised. After all, Shark Star was Neptune's son. Neptune might be a bit weak, but he bore impressive-sounding titles like Knight of the Sea and Sea God. That made him quite formidable by Fish-Man Island's standards.
"Thanks for your hard work, Brother Jinbe."
During a break in training, Bright greeted Jinbe.
Brother Jinbe, the mighty Captain of the Sun
