Donald's friends did not hesitate for long.
One of them said, "Donald, even if it's really as you say and Fish-Man Island has found high-quality Iron Ore, it's still in the deep sea. We don't have your fearless courage to risk our lives for money."
Donald flashed a smug smile. "I thought of that long ago, so didn't I tell you? I have a deal with the director of Fish-Man Island's Immigration Bureau. As long as I bring enough goods and merchants over, he'll send Fish-Man Island soldiers to escort us through the deep sea!"
In truth, that director had made no such promise, but that did not stop Donald from boasting.
Once he tricked these guys into going down there, he could use them as leverage to negotiate with the director. Donald had calculated it all very carefully.
"You don't understand because you haven't seen it yourselves!" Donald shouted. "That director commands a legion of sea beasts! If they escort us, then as long as we don't go looking for trouble with Sea Kings, we'll be able to travel freely through the deep sea!"
His friends shuddered and exchanged glances.
This time, they had no choice but to go for it.
They nodded heavily. "Then we're in!"
"Excellent!"
Donald pumped his fist excitedly. The more merchants he could bring to Fish-Man Island, the better his chances of bargaining with the director.
"We may not be enough on our own, so do your best to bring in your friends! But remember, absolutely no one with ties to the slave trade!"
"We know!"
His friends were no fools. "We're trading in the deep sea, with Fish-Man Island. We don't have a death wish."
So the friends scattered, using their connections to find more partners.
