Background / History
At fourteen, Magana was selected by a deity and became one of the rare God's Chosen. The transformation permanently fixed her youthful, petite appearance. Her early title of “White-haired Loli” was later replaced by “White-haired Demon” because of her brutal battlefield reputation. 22
Her father's subjects—whom she regarded as relatives—were killed during a Western Barbarian invasion on the day she became a God's Chosen. She repelled the invaders afterward, but the memory of the massacre continued to shape her hatred of weakness and war. 181
The Old Emperor assigned Magana to garrison the Western Border, expecting the Western Barbarians to restrain her influence. Instead, repeated warfare strengthened her and the Iron Blood Legion; over time, the barbarians became reluctant to invade her territory. 49
After Adler's death, Magana contacted Ryan through a mirror relic, informed him of Adler's fate, and ordered him to manage Berman City's affairs. 44 She later dispatched seven Transcendents under Gluck to reinforce Berman City during the Kainter invasion. 48
Magana personally appeared during the defense of Berman City, ordering the Iron Blood Legion's attack and terrifying the Kainter Army. 54 She subsequently explored a political alliance with Cassidy to secure influence over the Southern Territory. 68 74
A conspiracy within the Iron Blood Legion and the Imperial Army falsely accused Magana of colluding with the Western Barbarians. She returned from Chaos Space alive, exposed the divide between loyalists and traitors, and used Death Contracts to summon tens of thousands of reinforcements. 96 97
Following Ryan's apparent death, Magana mobilized her forces to march on Baron and kill the Old Emperor. She personally led ten thousand cavalry through Imperial defenses while Macos commanded the main army. 152 After the Old Emperor's fall, her surviving Iron Blood troops became a major deterrent in the Imperial Capital. 157
Magana later focused on the Western Barbarian conflict. She performed a large-scale ritual that turned the Iron Blood Legion into a transcendent army, enabling it to decisively defeat the Western Barbarian Army. 274
Appearance
Magana is a very short, white-haired woman with refined features and a youthful appearance permanently retained after becoming a God's Chosen. Her small stature contrasts sharply with her strength, aggressive demeanor, and battlefield reputation. 22
- Usually wears battle armor and carries a massive battle axe. 22
- Uses high-soled custom shoes and reacts angrily to remarks about her height. 160
- Can dress formally when required, including a black Lolita dress, white stockings, and a lace-trimmed hat. 160 168
- Her Death Chosen power can manifest as black wings and transform her battle axe into a Death Scythe. 243
Personality
Magana is direct, proud, and action-oriented. She prefers decisive action over prolonged calculation, particularly when facing enemies, but has sharp instincts for capable people and military matters. 45 56 179
She values loyalty deeply and dislikes betrayal. Rather than demanding blind obedience, she offers desperate but capable people a choice through her Death Contracts, describing the arrangement as granting them a new life. 94 This trust can become a weakness: she initially relied heavily on Creed and was vulnerable to manipulation within her own legion. 49 73
Despite her ruthless reputation, Magana treats her own people well, keeps Western Territory taxes low, and prioritizes the Iron Blood Legion's welfare. 98 162 She is notably uncomfortable with romance and becomes flustered around Ryan despite her usual confidence in battle. 173 181
