Who was Jino Luthor?
The question had filled everyone's mind the moment the young man's name appeared in the Great Hall.
Some had learned from gossip that the young man seemed never to have received any systematic magical education.
Others claimed that he was actually a bard.
Regardless of what people thought, most young witches and wizards felt a wave of pessimism settle over them.
We're doomed. This Defense Against the Dark Arts professor will probably be another incompetent fraud.
That was what most of the young witches and wizards were thinking.
Perhaps the curse surrounding the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had become too deeply ingrained in people's minds.
Anyone with even a little ability would never come to Hogwarts to take on this damned post.
"Hello, everyone. I'm Jino Luthor."
The young man's gentle voice made quite a few young witches silently commit this young professor to memory.
Never mind his ability—for one thing, he was handsome, and his voice was pleasant too.
"This semester, I will be serving as your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."
The young man's announcement immediately caused an uproar.
Though everyone had already suspected it, hearing him confirm it was another matter entirely.
"This semester..." Jino smiled and opened his right hand.
As his hand moved, a brilliant azure curtain of light, dazzling as a galaxy, burst from his palm like countless shooting stars before expanding in an instant.
Whoosh!
A radiant river of stars flowed leisurely through the entire Great Hall.
All eyes were fixed upon it, and everyone gasped in admiration.
"Oh my God!"
"It's so beautiful!"
"What kind of magic is that?"
Everyone's eyes widened at the magic Jino had displayed.
"How did he do that?"
"He didn't even use a wand!"
Discussion and praise rose
