"Crack."

Like a crisp noodle snack snapping in half, or a brittle calcium biscuit being broken.

A body with its head twisted toward its back fell out of a golden passageway.

Its red-and-black uniform was drenched in crimson blood, and its mouth hung open beneath the mask, filled with blood. It looked utterly miserable and horrifying.

Clark could not bear to watch and turned his head away.

The next second, Jino stepped out of a Speed Force passageway he had opened in midair.

"Which one was this?"

Jino descended from the sky, the fierce wind making his cape billow.

"Let me count. Killing Machine, The Devastator, and Red Death."

Clark counted on his fingers. "That makes three dealt with already."

The Devastator had been defeated by Jino using dreams.

Killing Machine had been defeated by Cybertron's artificial intelligence.

Red Death?

That one had suffered the worst. He possessed the same Speed Force, but lacked an extraordinary physique. In the end, Jino caught up to him and snapped his neck alive with one hand.

"Fine, then it looks like we need to hurry." Jino rubbed his neck.

His plan was simple: first, eliminate the "tentacles" Barbatos had extended, then deal with that "ugly loach."

Like a cake, he would eat it away layer by layer from the outside.

Coast City.

The afterglow of the setting sun shone upon the earth through the sun hanging in midair.

Yet the city, which should have been illuminated by the light curtain, was pitch-black.

There was not the slightest trace of light.

Only endless darkness.

And within that darkness, a faint, deep green glow flickered.

A figure clad in a green uniform with a bat emblem emblazoned across his chest crouched atop a skyscraper, expressionless.

The pitch-black darkness was as clear as day to him.
