"I still can't understand how you managed to smash through the backboard."
Peter Parker, a high school student who looked exactly like Garfield, chattered nonstop as he told Jino about the shock in his heart.
"Really?"
In response to Peter's admiration, Jino rested his chin in both hands and said faintly, "That's nothing to me."
He turned his head and smiled slightly at Peter. "If I wanted to, I could even punch through the planet beneath our feet."
Hearing Jino's words, Peter merely smiled awkwardly. "Jino, you're joking with me again."
Clearly, Peter did not believe Jino could punch through the Earth.
Jino did not mind Peter's awkward smile. He merely hooked an arm around Peter's neck, just as he had done with Clark years ago.
Did Peter and Clark have anything in common?
Naturally. They were both kind-hearted and easily trusted others.
"So, Peter." Jino sounded as though he were joking, yet also completely serious as he asked, "If you could become a superhero, what would you do?"
"What would I do?" Peter unconsciously bit his lip. Childhood dreams buried deep in his heart flashed through his mind, and he smiled. "Maybe I'd use that kind of ability to give my family a better life."
The current Peter had not experienced Uncle Ben's death, nor did he know the saying so crucial to Spider-Man: with great power comes great responsibility.
"Good. I'm looking forward to the day you gain superpowers." With a light snap of his fingers, as if performing a magic trick, Jino suddenly held a card of pure iron in his hand.
"Oscorp, noon tomorrow. Don't be late."
Jino stuffed the card into Peter's hand and waved goodbye, leaving behind only a bewildered Peter.
