This was a dim underground base.

Inside the vast Batcave, Batman, draped in a black cape, walked down the long, steep stairs and stopped before the massive computer screen glowing with a soft light.

Then, his fingers tapped in the name Joker.

Soon, several images appeared on the screen one after another.

They showed the countless crimes Joker had committed while wreaking havoc in Gotham City.

"Joker."

Bruce removed Batman's mask, his voice low and distant. He stared silently at the figure on the screen, wondering what the man intended to do and what his goal was.

But no matter how much Bruce pondered it, he had no idea what Joker planned to do next.

Would he spread Joker bombs through the crowds, or kidnap a group of people and invite him to play one of his insane games that tested human nature?

"Master Bruce, it's time for afternoon tea."

Alfred, the loyal butler, carried a tray over to Bruce and placed the food beside the computer desk.

Then, seeing Bruce's haggard face, the old butler said with some concern, "Is there anything else you require? Or should I leave?"

"No, Alfred."

Bruce stared at the computer screen, exhaustion written all over his face. "I'm trying to figure out what Joker wants to do, but he has no logic. I can't deduce anything."

"Perhaps."

Alfred walked behind Bruce and removed the cape from his back. "Sometimes, you cannot save everyone. Please do not put too much pressure on yourself."

"I know, but I have to."

Bruce sighed and rubbed his brow. "Otherwise, who knows how many people will suffer at his hands."

"So Joker really is a madman!"

At Commissioner Gordon's home.

Two young children, a boy and a girl, stood around Gordon's desk, flipping through some of the photographs
