With so many low-level Demons piling up their lives, even without weapons, they could swiftly inflict tremendous damage on the surrounding escort ships just by biting. Countless soldiers on the decks were killed or wounded, their blood splattering everywhere.

Even if the weapons in their hands could not inflict any substantial damage on those Demons, simply interfering with them was still somewhat useful.
