Background / History
Origin and Reincarnation
The Origin Continent is the destination beyond Reincarnation and is identified as the origin of all dimensional spaces. The surrounding Sea of Chaos comprises three thousand dimensional Seas of Chaos, each with its own Original Universe and Reincarnation Channel. Souls of powerful beings that attain Void status may enter the continent through these channels after death. 446
A Reincarnation is measured by the time of an Original Universe—roughly twelve trillion Epochs—and serves as the Origin Continent's time standard because endless geniuses emerge from it. 447
Natives and the Three Thousand Dimensions
In the distant past, powerhouses and geniuses from the Three Thousand Dimensions arrived on the Origin Continent and fought its native inhabitants. According to Zuo Shan Ke, the arrivals gradually took more than ninety percent of the territory, forcing the natives into desolate lands. 447
The long-standing conflict between natives and arrivals from the Three Thousand Dimensions remains one of the continent's most severe divisions. Its other major tensions include struggles among the Flesh and Blood, Undead, Rock, Aggregate, and other life factions. 492
Geography and Environment
- The first region reached by Ning Ze's group is a yellow-grey wasteland of barren mountains under a gloomy sky. Despite its appearance, its space is unusually stable. 447
- The Four Directions Realm is a remote region near desolate lands. Its North Ridge, South Bank, West Barbarian, and East Peak territories together are hundreds of times larger than a God King's domain. 464
- Shi Chi Abyss is an immeasurably vast abyss separating two continents. Its depth and each of its sides exceed the scale of Kong Xuan Continent, and it contains both vitality and death energy. 499
- Kong Xuan Continent is a major landmass later incorporated into the Endless Divine Kingdom. Its expansion includes former seas and surrounding territories. 554
- The term continent understates the Origin Continent's scale: oceans surround countless continents, while individual regions can dwarf conventional universes. 483 508
Rules and Cultivation Environment
Origin Energy
The continent contains an energy identical to the Origin Energy of Jin World. Prolonged exposure makes cultivation below the True God realm significantly easier, though it has limited direct effect on stronger cultivators. 452
The concentration of energy and Primordial Qi determines whether a location is considered a treasure land. 491
Boundless Rules
The Origin Continent contains immeasurable Rules, including elemental Rules such as Wind and Fire, conceptual Rules such as Life and Death, and specialized Rules associated with killing, blades, and perception. 546
Thirteen Heaven-Piercing Holy Light pillars descend from the Primal Chaos as thirteen new Rules. Their eventual fusion destabilizes the continent's existing Rules and space-time before God Kings begin comprehending them. 534 535
Source World Resilience
After its growth, the Origin Continent becomes difficult for ordinary God Emperors to damage substantially in battle. Its strengthened space and Rules impose greater restrictions on powerful outsiders than the Hun Yuan True Realm does. 553
Story Role / Major Arcs
Arrival Beyond Reincarnation
Ning Ze, Luo Feng, Yuan Zu, and their companions traverse the Reincarnation Channel and arrive in a remote wasteland. They encounter Native beings with unusual bodies and combat methods, then seek a local faction to understand the continent and integrate into its society. 447 448
Factional Wars
The continent is repeatedly threatened by wars between major factions, including a conflict between the Undead and Flesh and Blood factions. The Shi Chi Abyss becomes a central battlefield, where a God King-level formation seals an area comparable to Kong Xuan Continent. 492 498 503
Primal Origin Sacred Light
The thirteen sacred lights draw God Kings from across the continent. Their Rules temporarily encourage broad cooperation among Natives and cultivators from the Three Thousand Dimensions, but competition resumes once the lights become accessible. 534 535 540
Source World Maturation
As the Source World matures, its territory expands and its Rules grow denser. The Hun Yuan True Realm opens further opportunities for breakthrough, while the Origin Continent becomes capable of sustaining God Emperors more easily. 549 553 554
Contest for Control
Hao Bai attempts to integrate with and control the Source World, but Ning Ze counters him through continent-wide Rule fluctuations. Ning Ze ultimately takes control, establishing himself as the Origin Continent's lord. 563 566 567
Accelerated Evolution Crisis
Ning Ze accelerates the continent's evolution to rapidly produce more experts and strengthen his rule. The resulting intake of Primal Chaos Power expands the world at extreme speed, but risks overwhelming its carrying capacity and requires extensive Rule reconstruction. 568
The continent later develops a shortage of “Spirit”: its absorbed vitality is insufficient to maintain its prior life foundation indefinitely, and excessive expansion would weaken the beings it nurtures. 575
Relationships
- Ning Ze — Controller of the Origin Continent Source World; he expands, alters, and stabilizes its Rules. 566 568 571
- Luo Feng — Former holder of the Source Traces; after giving them to Ning Ze, the traces serve as the key to the Source World's perfect fusion during its control. 568
- Hao Bai — Rival contender for control of the Source World; defeated by Ning Ze, then retained as a valuable assistant for evolving universe prototypes. 566 568
- Yuan — Senior powerhouse who returns to criticize Ning Ze's drastic modifications, then assists in stabilizing the Source World's revised Rule. 570 571
- Natives — Original inhabitants largely displaced to desolate territories by the powerhouses of the Three Thousand Dimensions. 447
- Three Thousand Dimensions — Source of the endless reincarnated geniuses and powerhouses who came to dominate most of the continent. 446 447
Trivia
- The Origin Continent's aura can identify beings who originate from it; experts above the God Emperor level can recognize this aura in the Primal Chaos. 577
- Before Ning Ze's control, the continent's history is characterized by the repeated rise, territorial rule, and eventual fall of powerful geniuses and factions. 549
