When Peng Demon King tried to destroy the Human Sovereign statue, it awakened and transformed into the Human Sovereign, who stepped out of ancient times.

• A livestream from the Sea of Death showed three Demon Race Great Saints and their army overwhelming the humans, while Peng Demon King demanded the Human Sovereign Remnants appear.
• Shao Yu rejected Peng Demon King's offer to spare the Remnants if they killed humans, and the people refused to betray one another for a chance to escape.
• Peng Demon King uprooted the Human Sovereign statue and threatened to crush the humans' faith, while Meng Qi arrived and challenged him.
• Peng Demon King failed to damage the statue, then burned his hand when he used his full strength against it.

Shen Ye revealed himself as the Saint Emperor and effortlessly killed Peng Demon King after demanding that the demon Great Saints take their own lives. He then threatened to settle accounts with Amitabha Buddha, who appeared and addressed him as the Human Sovereign.

• Luoga, Feixiang, and Huiguang recognized Shen Ye as Saint Emperor Qi, a Great Divine Ability Practitioner at the peak of Creation.
• Shen Ye ordered Peng Demon King to take his own life, warning that he would kill him each time the Demon Emperor revived him.
