Chen Fei looked at Anomaly Lady's forehead. There was a hole there.

Double-brow Anomalies had hardened heads and were greedy, irritable, and reckless. Chen Fei had seen records of this kind of anomaly in ancient texts.

"Who did you think you were fobbing off with this little money?" Anomaly Lady shouted sharply, casually sweeping her right hand and knocking the ten copper coins onto the ground.

Sensing her mistress's anger, Chi Shuqing's entire body involuntarily trembled. In just these past two days, she had already been tortured until she was exhausted in both body and mind.

Whenever her mistress became angry, Chi Shuqing would reflexively fall into nervous anxiety.

Chen Fei glanced at Chi Shuqing. An Aperture Refining Realm cultivator, once respected by everyone outside, had now been bullied and toyed with by this anomaly until a trace of servility had grown within her.

The Rat Demon leaped onto Chen Fei's shoulder and let out a low growl at Anomaly Lady. Yet upon meeting her gaze, the venomous resentment in it frightened the Rat Demon into immediately burrowing into Chen Fei's sleeve.

"How much does Your Excellency want?" Chen Fei asked calmly, without becoming angry.

"One hundred copper coins, and I'll forgive your crime of trespassing!" Anomaly Lady laughed sinisterly. At some point, fog had begun to rise in the courtyard, veiling even the bright sky.

"And that Rat Demon makes another hundred copper coins!"

"And what about this tree?" Chen Fei asked casually, as though he had not seen the icy chill around him.

"I've grown attached to this tree. If you want to buy it, I'll sell it to you for two hundred copper coins!" Anomaly Lady looked at Chen Fei, the greed in her eyes utterly undisguised.

"That makes four hundred copper coins altogether." Chen Fei smiled
