"They don't understand anything," Mountains Yudun concluded.
If she could only have one gemstone eye, she might as well give it to her other self. At least that would let her other self be completely broken.
It seemed Mountains Yudun and Star Sea Yudun shared the same view. Which raised a question...
Yu Xunge asked, "Then why didn't you give her your remaining gemstone eye?"

She looked into Zai Jiu Xunge's eyes and repeated, word by word, "Because I lost my contest with her."
She saw Zai Jiu Xunge freeze for only an instant before understanding dawned on her, followed by a helpless laugh, as though she had been angered.
Mountains Yudun knew then that the other woman understood.
She had lost to Star Sea Yudun. One gemstone had lost to another.
Star Sea Yudun would rather gouge out her own gemstone eye to make her other self "complete" than accept an inferior gemstone eye to make herself flawless, because to her, Mountains Yudun's gemstone eye was itself a flaw.

But conversely, if Mountains Yudun had beaten Star Sea Yudun, the latter would have been even less willing to accept it...
There was simply no solution.
Yu Xunge laughed in anger again. She felt she had no right to talk about arrogance in front of Yudun.
But what about Mountains Yudun?
Could she accept her other self's "charity"?!
"That's infuriating," she said to Mountains Yudun. "You just accepted it?"
