Ancestral Stone

As the little girl spoke, Qing Tan's body trembled more and more violently. This eruption of cold seemed even fiercer than before.

"So cold... so cold..."

Qing Tan curled up on the ground, her little face pale, ice crystals covering her hair.

Suddenly, Qing Tan felt herself being lifted up. A large hand covered her little head, and she felt a warm current flow from its palm. The cold throughout her body rapidly receded under the warmth's expulsion.

"So warm..."

A trace of delight appeared on Qing Tan's face. Comfortably, she slightly narrowed her eyes, unconsciously wrapped her arms around that arm, and gently rubbed her little head against the palm with her adorable cheek.

"Qing Tan!"

Suddenly, another voice came from the dense forest. Another man sprang out, but upon seeing the scene before him, he halted in his tracks and stood there in stunned surprise.

The man looked to be around thirty or forty. His body was somewhat thin, and a faint sharpness could still be seen between his brows. However, he seemed to be injured, his face slightly pale and concealing much of that sharp aura.

As the man rushed out, Lin Dong followed closely behind, running out with a woman.

The woman was dressed rather simply and appeared to be around thirty. Her face was somewhat delicate and lovely, giving off a gentle, tender feeling.

"Qing Tan!" The woman could not help crying out when she saw the scene.

Qing Tan was startled awake. Raising her head, she saw an unfamiliar handsome older brother looking at her, while she was still hugging his hand. Her cheeks immediately grew warm. Without caring about anything else, she quickly got up and ran toward the woman, finally throwing herself into her arms.
