The Star Luo Titled Douluo watched helplessly as their companion was blasted away by a single laser from that aloof woman, smashing through a wall with his fate unknown. Then, hearing her icy, bone-chilling words, several suppressed snorts of anger rang out from the crowd. Some of the more hot-tempered ones had already clenched their fists, itching to rush forward and demand an explanation.
But before they could make a move, their more rational companions firmly held them back.
"Don't act rashly!" An older Titled Douluo warned in a low voice, his tone full of apprehension. "Didn't you see? From beginning to end, she hasn't even released her martial soul or soul rings!"
Those words were like a thunderclap, instantly awakening every Titled Douluo from the Star Luo Empire present.
Only then did they realize, belatedly, that ever since this aloof woman had appeared, she had remained in her normal state. Forget possessing herself with soul rings—even her martial soul had never been summoned.
Meanwhile, everyone on their side had already released their martial souls, their soul rings circling around them, their auras raised to the extreme. Yet even so, before the invisible pressure emanating from her, they still found themselves at a disadvantage.
The Titled Douluo exchanged looks, disbelief and embarrassment appearing on their faces. Their previously surging auras instantly receded by more than half. A few quick-witted ones even quietly took half a step back, subtly increasing their distance from the battlefield.
"Please calm your anger, Senior!" The white-haired Titled Douluo who had spoken earlier stepped forward, piling on a flattering smile. His tone was respectful to the point of humility. "We were merely passing through and came over for a stroll. We don't know this person you intend to deal with at all!"
