Beneath the Golden Horde's tent, the Tatar commanders gazed into the distance at a scene that looked like the end of the world. Every one of them had gone pale.
They were too far away to see what had actually happened. They could only rely on their meager imaginations, coupled with Usun the Shaman's fragmented remarks, to picture that battle between beings who might as well have been "gods."
"Become the will of heaven, summon thunder and lightning, breathe out rain, knead earth into mountains, and turn felled trees into soldiers. Kuokochu, your arrogant claim to be a 'Sky-Connecting Sorcerer' turned out to be entirely justified!"
Only a legendary figure like Usun the Shaman could barely glimpse some of the battle's details.
He had thought that while there was a gap between himself and Kuokochu, it was not an insurmountable one. Who could have imagined that Kuokochu had silently reached a legendary realm? No wonder Kuokochu had always looked down on him.
That old bastard had clearly transcended the traditional shamanic system and attained something akin to the Daoist realm known as Dao Integration.
"But with Kuokochu this strong, is that really a good thing? The Khan had once wanted me to serve as the shackles restraining Kuokochu. Looking at things now, what right or ability do I have?
