  • Asano Kiyoshi decided to investigate the black pit beneath the volcano after White and Black Impermanence assured him Hell's Will would not notice if he took less than one-third of its population.
  • Asano Kiyoshi used Byakurai to glimpse chained, cocoon-like figures in the pit, then jumped inside.

Asano seized Shihoin Sennichi and Oto Kawausukiyo with his powerful Soul Severing Road technique before Sakago Saizo released his Bankai, leaving the confrontation unresolved.
