A violent tremor struck the Hero Association headquarters, making the entire building sway precariously as it continued to quake.
The S-Class Heroes in the war room were inevitably affected as well. Some struggled to keep their balance, while others calmed down immediately after their initial surprise.
"What's going on?" Superalloy Darkshine braced himself against the conference table and shouted at Tatsumaki, "Little Tatsumaki, don't tell me you suddenly got mad and caused this again?"
"I'm not that bored!" Tatsumaki used her telekinesis to fly into the air, loudly protesting as she did. "You make it sound like I go wild every time I get angry. That's so rude!"
But it was true that she went wild whenever she got angry, wasn't it?
That thought surfaced in the minds of everyone present at once.
Instead, Xiqi struggled through the earthquake-like shaking toward the conference table and activated a screen.
Like a projection, the screen emerged from the high-tech conference table and came into everyone's view.
The next second, everyone was stunned.
"Th-that's...?"
"A spaceship?"
"The city... was destroyed...?"
What appeared before them was a scene straight out of hell.
An incomparably massive spacecraft hovered high in the sky, blocking out all sunlight and plunging the ground below into darkness.
Yet on that darkened land lay ruins.
Ruins reduced to utter devastation.
Skyscrapers, homes, steel plants, roads, and streets—everything had been turned into rubble.
That expanse of ruins had once been the metropolis known as City A.
"City A... City A..."
Xiqi stared blankly at the sight, his voice trembling.
"City A was actually destroyed...?"
In an instant.
In only an instant.
Within that instant, all of City A had been struck by artillery fire from the enormous spacecraft and completely reduced to ruins.
