"After all, for beings like us who possess Spirit Bodies, devouring human souls and life force can replenish our mana." Chiron said quietly, "And a Servant's Spirit Core is located where the brain and heart are. If one devoured a human heart, the mana gained should be absorbed more efficiently as well."

A Spirit Core was a Servant's vital point.

When a Servant was summoned, a Spirit Core would first form, then a body would take shape around it, allowing the Servant to manifest in the world.

If the Spirit Core was pierced, then no matter what, that Servant could not be saved.
