At the same time.
On the snowfields of western Russia, not far from the territory of the Elizrina Independent Nations Alliance, the blizzard had already stopped.
White snow blanketed everything in sight, keeping the temperature brutally low. It felt as though even a casual breath would freeze into icy water. It was bitterly cold.
Just then, a rather loud sound rang out.
It sounded like a car engine.
The noise was tremendous. It did not even sound like an ordinary passenger vehicle, but a massive truck.
Across the white snowfields traveled a convoy of several large vehicles. Their vital sections had been reinforced with thick metal, giving them an unmistakably military air.
That was hardly surprising.
With the war still underway, such things appearing on Russian soil was nothing unusual.
However, both ahead of and behind the convoy were something suspicious.
They were carriages pulled by two-headed horses.
And the horses were not living creatures, but mechanical horses made of silver metal.
They were not the sort with armor draped over their bodies, but horses constructed entirely from metal.
As for the carriages, they were not made of wood and cloth either. Like Western-style armor, they were encased in heavy shells.
Anyone from the Magic Side would have immediately recognized those carriages.
—"Sleipnir."
It was the gray warhorse ridden by Odin, the father of the Gods in Norse mythology.
The warhorse had eight legs and was said to run faster than the wind. It could gallop freely through the sky, across the earth, and even through hell itself. Whenever war broke out, the chief god Odin would don his eagle helmet, mount this eight-legged gray steed, and ride into battle.
Naturally, these were not the Sleipnir of legend, but spiritual items created by the Russian Orthodox Church in imitation of
